Fun and Informational - John was an energetic tour guide and a wealth of knowledge. We sampled yummy food while he showed us some cool spots in the market and told us stories and information about the market. He knows everyone in the market and it’s clear he’s well liked in the community.

"Guidey" in Seattle - Chef John was a delight! Very knowledgeable about the market and entertaining in his description of the things we were seeing. Would definitely recommend his tour to anyone. The only complaint was that there was quite a bit of salmon in the tastings so a little more variety would be great but overall, our group really enjoyed it! We were stuffed!

Well worth it! - John was very knowledgeable about Pike Place. He had lots of info from the inside since he's been around the area for so long. He knows many of the store owners and he's good at involving them in conversation during the tour. My husband and I were the only ones that showed for this tour, so we could hear him well, walk at our own pace, maneuver through the crowds easily. After we finished the tour, we were very happy we had done it. Since we've never been to Pike Place it would have been difficult to navigate where to go. John was really great at showing us landmarks and shortcuts to help us get around when the tour was over.

Chef John knows the market and the people - Chef John has a deep and extensive knowledge of the market's history and people. This is not only a food tour with many tastings, but also a history tour. You'll get lots of exercise to work off the many small bites along the way. We liked that this tour was fairly casual, not at all uptight. We had the privilege of a weekday "off season" very small group making it even more personal. John really knows the market and the Seattle scene. We have done food tours on other vacations; we recommend this tour.

Pike Place Market - Great experience with Chef John. He made the market fun and helped us explore areas of the market we would have never seen. The samples were also amazing. My kids even tried the salmon.

Don't arrive on a full stomach! - The tour was better than expected. Soooo much food samples, I wish I could've stored them for later. Did not eat again that day! So interesting to see areas I would not have discovered on our own. Taking this tour will force you to find to find the best secrets of he market!

Best Tour - There is ONLY one way to see Pike Place and that's with Chef John. He's friends with everyone and knows all the "ins and outs" of the market like no one else. Every tasting was outstanding. He knows how to choose the best from the rest. Personally... John will keep you in stiches. I normally don't write reviews, but in John's case it is my pleasure. Don't hesitate to book this tour. It will be the highlight of your day in Seattle. Oh, come hungry and don't plan to have lunch... you won't be able to eat again for hours.

Fantastic tour beyond what most tourist see! - We had a great time on John’s tour! We had been to the market before but had no idea of the history or even how to navigate through all the parts of the market. John is extremely knowledgeable and engaging. Highly recommend to everyone who truly wants to experience the market!
