This historic area boasts over 30 local businesses. During the tour, interesting tidbits will be shared, such as a bar constructed from a jail, the largest screen for sports viewing, and the spookiest tavern and its eerie reputation. Additionally, The End of the Lewis and Clark Trail, the Promenade trails, popular festivals, and beach clean-up activities will be pointed out.
- Tillamook Head National Recreation Trail - Tillamook Head is renowned as one of the finest hikes on the Oregon Coast. Guidance to the trailhead for a photo opportunity will be provided, along with details about the trail, its length, and the sights to behold for those who choose to embark on the adventure.
At the summit, hikers can enjoy a spectacular view of the decommissioned Tillamook Rock Lighthouse.
On the drive down, sights such as the Cove, the Sailor’s Grave, and Painted Rock Beach will be seen.
- Seaside Museum & Historical Society - Discover how Seaside evolved into its current form and explore the historic Seaside Resort.
- Fort Clatsop National Memorial - Walk the trails, visit the museum and gift shop, and learn about the winter home of the Corps of Discovery on the Pacific Coast in 1805-1806.
- Astoria Column - Take on the challenge of climbing 164 stairs to the top. A plane from the gift shop will be provided for flying. For those who prefer to stay grounded, highlights of the view will be shared. What an incredible sight!

The Perfect Tour in the Most Magical of Places - This was a top notch tour. I was provided an in depth look at the Oregon coast which enriched my trip in a way I never thought possible. I cannot recommend this tour enough. Stop reading this and book now. :)

Astoria area daytrip--Great Experience - I didn't know what to expect on this all day tour experience, but it was a blast. Katie was an exceptional guide and drove with care around Astoria's windy streets and knew the history, not only there but Warrenton and Seaside. Beautiful time walking on the beach, got Gelato and played some pinball and air hockey! In the Astoria portion I met a lady from Japan and a UK couple. People come from all over the world. On my day, Oct 29 I saw deer, elk, sea lions, geese and a bald eagle. Don't miss it. Tonya

Fun and informative tour. - We loved our tour. The best part was seeing all the things we didn't know existed in the area and getting to go back to explore further, both this trip and the next.

incredible adventure "We did all the things" - This is a day we will cherish forever. From River Falls all the way to Cannon Beach and everything in between, it was an incredible experience. When I first looked into visiting the area, I was overwhelmed by how to fit everything we wanted to see and do into a timely manner. We spent 10 hours with Katie, who is incredible—polite, inquisitive, and responsive. In that time, we accomplished what I can only imagine would have taken us a week to navigate on our own. This allowed us the opportunity, in the days following our tour, to go back and dive deeper into the highlights. I cannot recommend this experience enough. Book it with the assurance that you’re going to have the most awesome day ever!

Onward Adventures sets the bar - Our tour guide Katie was very knowledgeable about the entire area and was able to answer every question my 14 year old could throw at her. Lol. The vehicle is very comfortable. This tour is so informative. It is a must to do at the beginning of your vacation or if you are moving to this beautiful area. Our guide went above and beyond any expectations you might have.

The Best OR Coast Tour! Friendly & Informative! - Katie was one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had. She has a true knowledge of Astoria and the surrounding areas and will teach you a bunch of things probably no one else knows about the town & give you a local take on the best restaurants, bars, and activities. We had a great day touring Astoria, Warrenton, and Seaside with a full itinerary of the most notable places to check out. Book this for the most complete tour of the area and the friendliest host!

Onward Adventures Tour of Seaside and Astoria - I was so fortunate to have found Katie!!! I was the only person on the tour that day, but that didn’t deter her. She welcomed me and said that she loved solos because she could get one-on-one feedback. Lucky me.☺️
We visited a lot of places, and each one was interesting and beautiful in its own way. I let Katie know that I loved history and was not much interested in breweries, and so she tailor-made the tour to my taste.
She picked me up on time from my hotel in Seaside, and we started the tour with a visit to the Lewis and Clark Saltworks. The tour lasted 7 hours and we visited several places like the Painted Rock Beach in Seaside, Lewis and Clark National Historical Park ( Fort Clatsop), Shively Park, Flavel House Museum, Pier 39 Cannery Museum, Fort Stevens, Peter Iredale Shipwreck, South Jetty, and Battery Russel. She drove extensively through Astoria to show me various landmarks and lovely houses while explaining the history of Astoria in an engaging and lively manner.
Katie made me feel so comfortable and relaxed that it was almost like sitting next to a knowledgeable and close friend who was driving me around and showing me the sights of Oregon’s gorgeous North Coast. I really appreciate that she took me to so many wonderful places that I would otherwise never have seen.
Katie is just the nicest person and an amazing tour guide, and I couldn’t ask for anything more! I highly recommend Onward Adventures, and Katie is the best!!!

The tour of Astoria and Seaside - Our tour Katie was amazing!!! We took the all day experience and saw so many wonderful sites. Katie's vast knowledge of the areas and history of the sites were astonishing.. This tour is a must do, to get in a full day of great sites and many historical places. Thank you so much for the experience!!! I highly, highly recommend this experience!!

Upward and Onward - Onward Adventures was amazing! Katie did a great job showing us the sites and hooking us up for the rest of our trip. Thanks to her, we were able to get a good idea of things we wanted to see and do while visiting the northern Oregon Coast. I highly recommend having the tour at the beginning of your trip.
