Our unique Scottsdale Off-Road Jeep Tour offers a thrilling ride on the most picturesque trails in the Sonoran desert around Scottsdale. Soak in stunning views as our experienced tour guide educates you about the local flora, fauna, and the history of the Native Americans. Our trail connections to North Scottsdale provide you with more time on the trails than any other off-road tours in the vicinity.
We offer private tour vehicles: Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with six forward-facing seats, Jeep YJ with seven seats, or Jeep Gladiator that accommodates 14 in vertical-row (sideways) seating.
As a commercial special recreation permit-holder through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Cave Creek Ranger District and the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Land Management, Scottsdale Adventure Tours assures an authentic experience.
- Closed-toed shoes are mandatory.
- From December to February, bring warm clothing.
- This is a guide-led tour; guests will NOT be driving the Jeep.
- Our bumpy off-road Jeep tours are low-speed, jarring rides through rough terrain. Please ensure that every guest in your party understands that this off-road tour is a low-speed, bumpy ride through rough terrain.
- Please carefully review our list of health restrictions and requirements. Due to safety concerns, we are unable to accommodate guests who do not meet the tour requirements. Ensure each guest in your party reads and understands the tour requirements. There will be no refunds issued to guests who fail to read and understand the health restrictions and requirements of this tour.
- Not recommended for travelers who get motion sickness
- Must be physically able to climb in and out of a lifted Jeep Wrangler.
- Not recommended for passengers with any condition that could be aggravated by a rough, bumpy, and jarring off-road Jeep tour.
- Weight limit per seat: 275 pounds. Call our office ahead of time to arrange an alternate vehicle and an alternate route.
- Pregnant individuals are prohibited from participating in this high risk activity.

Sands and Thrills: Ultimate Desert Jeep Adventure - I couldn't recommend this more if I tried. Everything was perfect - from the flexibility in scheduling to the overall experience. John, our guide, was exceptional. He was an absolute pleasure and constantly went above and beyond to ensure our group had fun and felt safe. He wasn't just an average tour guide; he was a master photographer, a desert fruit finder, and had endless snacks for the kids, along with blankets and jackets if we got cold. Jon is the best guide! - Jon was our tour guide and he was absolutely amazing! From teaching about the desert to making sure we didn’t freeze because of the rain, he was fully prepared! He made the trip so enjoyable! We will be back!

Phenomenal 10/10 entertainment - This might be the best jeep tour in Scottsdale. Jon G is certainly the best tour guide in the state. The scenery is gorgeous, the trip is fantastic, and Jon is so entertaining. Funny, informative, fun and surprisingly an amazing photographer. We will be looking at these pictures for the rest of our lives! If you’re in town or a local this is a must do with Jon. I wish there was more I can say but I wouldn’t want to take away from your experience. Just do it! You won’t regret it…allegedly

AMAZING - We had an amazing time. The day we went was cold and rainy but our tour guide Jon came prepared. Jon made our tour so fun! We were on a bachelorette trip and would definitely recommend.

Best Bach Memory - @scottsdaleadventuretours, Jon G was a 10 out of 10 as our guide! So much fun! As ill prepared as we were, he was totally prepared for the 12 of us!! Jon was hilarious, educational, and very personable. What a great time was had by All! An experience that will last a lifetime ♥️

Jon G the man with a plan for bach trips and rain! - We had the BEST time with Jon G.! He was the man with a plan for our Wild bachelorette crew in the cold and rain the middle of the desert (who would’ve thought)! He had blankets, jackets, ponchos, snacks, anything we needed for this day! He sent us our GoPro videos after the trip and they were hilarious. Highly recommend this trip for your Scottsdale adventures buy book with Jon! You will have a blast even in the rain! He was so fun and knowledgeable! His photo skills are also 100/10!
