Additional Information

The first segment of our journey lies alongside golf terrains, beautifully groomed parks, disc golf courses, several lakes, and a well-liked skateboarding venue, ‘The Wedge’.

As we advance towards Tempe Town Lake, we cycle underneath a few tunnel underpasses and experience gentle rises and falls on the bike route. We then drift past the Tempe Marina and observe the boats while heading along the bike path towards Papago Park.

The scene dramatically transitions into an archetypical desert tableau when we step foot into Papago Park. We frequently encounter road runners (birds) in this part of the journey, meep meep! The sleek concrete bike route winds its way through an uncommon frisbee golf course, filled with rocky and maroon-hued features.

Moving forward on a hilltop, we spot an oddly situated pyramid; the resting place of George W.P. Hunt, the inaugural Governor of Arizona. Afterwards, we head to The Hole in the Rock. Your group will dismount your bikes and leave them with the tour leader as you trek for 5 minutes up the trail to the viewpoint.

Our guide took great photos of us too. Enjoyed short hike up to hole in the rock. It was just a wonderful afternoon learning about Scottsdale/Phoenix/Tempe.

Great ride on a beautiful winter day. - It was a nice ride on a cool, beautiful winter day. The guide was very knowledgeable and kept every body safe. The pace of the ride was very good. Not too fast nor was it too slow with a lot of stops. We ride our e-bikes a lot. We did not have them for this trip and decided to try the tour. It exceeded our expectations and would definitely recommend it.
