Come with us as we take you on a safe drive on the historic Apache Trail and a mild hike on Superstition Mountain. With its fame, fables and folklore we will lead you to the very mountain where the Lost Dutchman’s Mine is hidden.

As a bonus, we visit Goldfield Ghost Mining Town. An authentic ghost town, Goldfield was used for many popular television and filmed westerns.

Enjoy the many western activities that Goldfield offers, such ziplining, railroad rides, shopping or take a tour into the actual gold mine.

The town’s saloon, the Mammoth is a must stop for lunch or belly up to the old west style bar.

Wonderful Trip - Fabulous trip from Scottsdale to the desert. Kathryn, the guide was excellent with so much knowledge about the landscape, history and fauna (I didn't know there were so many varieties of cactus 🌵) We also stopped for a hike, lots of photo shoots and a visit to Superstition Mountain Museum which includes The Apacheland Movies Ranch. Elvis Presley filmed 'Charro' here and shot the cross off the church spire. I highly recommend this trip.

History among the cacti. - I really enjoyed this day trip to Apache Trail, and Superstition Mountains. I had a polite and well-versed tour guide who made the day exceptional. I enjoyed the beautiful vistas and short hikes in the desert. I learned a lot of history about this area of the southwest, including mining history and information about the native Americans in the area. The day length was perfect and I was back before rush-hour in Phoenix. Thank you so much for making this trip available! And , just so you know, I am a senior, and it was a great trip for someone my age!

Great day in the desert - We had the best time with Mike! A perfect mix of hiking, photo opportunities, and fun old West style! It was nice to do as much or as little as we wanted and our guide was knowledgeable and friendly.

Great tour of the desert! - Tour was very enjoyable. Kathleen had a lot of passion and she had a lot of informative and interesting bits of information about the area. It was evident that she wanted to give us the best tour she possibly could. It was nice to see the Sonoran desert and all the vegetation.

A perfect, easy day trip to explore the beauty of the Arizona desert. - This tour was a great way to explore the beautiful desert areas surrounding Phoenix. The guide, Kathleen, was knowledgeable and welcoming. She shared stories and pointed out landmarks throughout the tour. It was just the right mix of driving to see the sights and walking/exploring.
