Top museum! - From the beginning to the end impressive. Not only the trains but the whole setup, building, sound, restaurant, atmosfeer. One of the best musea i ever visited and NOT too many people.

Several halls of trains - Lots of trains to see, from early steam trains and carriages, up to modern electric trains, plus everything that makes a train system run: tracks, signals, etc. Belgium was the first place in continental Europe to build a train line, so they came up with many of the early inventions, and they are on display here too. I used the museum Android App and that worked OK and gave me more information about what I was seeing. I spent 3 hours in the museum.

Excellent day out - Took the short train ride from Brussels central.Trainworld is situated immediately you leave the train.It comprises a huge ticket hall and 3 large halls containing the trains .You can see the Royal train,the Orient Express .a full sized signallers house and much much more.It is all well signposted in English French and Dutch.It cost us €30for 2 adults and was well worth the money.

Go for it! Very interesting and informative - A guided tour is worth it unless you are with small children. It’s really cool, we learn lots of things about the beginning of the railway in Europe and the evolution of locomotives and the leading role of Belgium.

The train simulation was amazing - The views were amazing. So much history. Fun experience all together and would definitely recommend for your trip to Brussels.

absolutely brilliant - What nan amazing place to visit - so many trains and v it was brilliant how they linked it with the animals - not usually a fan but it was informative and fun

BEST DAY OUT EVER!!!! - This is the best museum i have ever been to! The attention to detail is stunning, my 2 year old had the BEST day of his life!!! If your child loves trains, for the love of god get yourself down there!!! Only one piece of advice, it takes around 3 hours so get yourself caffeinated and take plenty of snacks and juice for the little one!!!!

Well worth visit - Very well laid out and interesting for both adults and children. Lots to see. We took tram 92 direct from parc to Shaelbeek and caught sncf train back into brussels. Only downside is that the cafe is at the start of museum and from the exit, you have to re enter museum entrance to get to cafe. Well worth visit. Shop is full of little items for children to want !!

A worthwhile visit with some drawbacks - The exhibits are very interesting, but unfortunately they were difficult to see. The brightness of the lighting changed constantly, which also made photography difficult. Then there were the animal figures and the corresponding sound system as part of the Animalia exhibition. This became distracting over time. The gorilla on the front of a steam locomotive was out of place. This somewhat spoiled the overall impression, although the exhibition was put together with great attention to detail. The estimated time of 2 hours is realistic.

Not rail-ly as good as we were expecting - We were expecting good things after reading lots of positive reviews online, however our visit was average and disappointing in places. My husband is a railway enthusiast and was unfortunately disappointed with the museum overall. Many of the information boards/exhibits were difficult to read or see due to ridiculously dull lighting. Not sure whether this was done to create atmosphere, but for visitors it is simply very annoying! Only certain bits of information were translated into English. There were also signs which indicated you could listen to information through an audio guide, however this was not offered or explained to us when we purchased tickets from the cashier. Shop was also disappointing, with a lack of variety. Books in there were very expensive, so we came away without any souvenirs. In my opinion, the museum experience wasn’t worth the €15 admission per adult. Wouldn’t visit again.
