Savoca - After being welcomed by our Guide in your hotel we will head in the direction of Savoca crossing two small villages Sant Alessio and Santa Teresa, we will reach Savoca. We will still see, we will visit the Capuchin crypt which houses several mummies in a small catacomb. -
Forza d’Agro - Moving from Savoca we reach Forza d’agro’ also this city was incorporated in the film the Godfather, just think that we find this city “scenic” in all three films.
The city will welcome us with its recent history linked to the Godfather film itself, we will also have the opportunity to review all the scenes that were filmed in Forza d’Agrò.

Fun, informative and scenic - We had a brilliant time- Marcello is a wonderful, charismatic and knowledgeable guide. We even bumped into someone who was in the movie which was a lovely surprise! Tips: there is a walk up/down a cobbled hill to get to the church but it’s beautiful and you take intermittent stops so as long as you wear comfy shoes and don’t have mobility issues, you are fine.

Godfather tour - We went on the tour with Marcello and we had such a great day! Marcello was so friendly, knowledgable and made the tour interactive and fun. His driving was great and we were taken to 2 locations. The first was Savoca where we got to see Bar Vitelli and the Church where Michael and Apollonia got married and the second was Forza d’Agro which were both beautiful and scenic which we probably wouldn’t have visited if it weren’t for this excursion. We would definitely recommend this tour for families or groups of friends, thank you again Marcello!

Fun and Interesting - What an experience. Marcello was knowledgeable and fun, and explained some of the history behind Francis Ford Copulla picking this part of Sicily for the movie. An amazing day out .

Godfather tour 20 May 2025 - Fantastic trip and super service with pickup at our pension, with our heavy backpacks that came with in the mini bus and after the trip we were driven to the station by our cute driver Giovanni for a little tips, he runs better than Marcello 😄. Respect for the drivers in general there are many hair needle swings up to Savoca and F'agro where both buses and cars back for each other to give room. It was also a rich tour especially Savoca with plenty of info and sights with Bar Vitelli and the church Michael and Appollonia were married in.
A tip from here is that the time is reserved for a little drink/eat at Bar Vitelli, it is a bit hectic with getting serving and payment for 25 minutes. Spend the time instead to see (and photograph 😄) both the bar's exhibition, the table and chair where Michael sat, the square and the city and views up to the church, which is plenty to have fun with.

Awesome tour - Loved seeing the places where the movie was filmed! Our guide was good and full of interesting facts. Only downside was the van we were riding in was very warm. Either the AC didn’t work or it wasn’t turned on. Other than that this was a fun excursion.

Take The Godfather tour - It was great seeing where part of the Godfather movie was actually made. Our guide knew a lot of details about the making of the movie there in Sicily, but he was a little hard to understand for the English hearing tourists.

Great sites to visit, but a bit of a language barrier. - What I liked about this tour was that it was well worth it because of the pickup and drop off at my hotel, plus they drove us and guided us through the two sites (Savoca and Forza d'agro). I did not like the host sitting us down in a church for a long lecture since I found his accent difficult to understand. I would have much preferred more walking, sightseeing, and picture taking.
