Amazing experience with Dominical Surf School! - Debbie and crew are epic! I surf in San Francisco but was hitting a point where I felt my progress was stagnant and decided I would take a surf lesson on my family trip to Dominical. So happy I did! I ended up booking a second lesson here because the first one was so helpful. I worked with instructors Jose and Gonzalo and I also did the video analysis with Debbie. They all gave me such great information about what I should focus on and tweak in my technique in order to progress. I definitely feel like I’m walking away with more knowledge and helpful advice about how to get where I want to get in my surfing. The video analysis with Debbie was also super helpful to see what not so helpful habits I have that I should work on, i.e. I need to work on my hand/arm positioning in order to guide turning on face of the wave. Everyone at Dominical Surf School is super friendly and are dishing out those good vibes! It was also awesome to access their depth of local wave knowledge rather than just renting a board and getting out there on my own. Highly recommend taking a lesson here!!!

Best Surf Shop in Dominical - Easily the best experience I had in Dominical, and any serious surfer should stop here before going out at Playa Dominical The shop is located across the street from the beach, making renting a board very easy and seamless. All the surf instructors are very friendly and patient. I took an advanced lesson, and my instructor was extremely knowledgeable and detail-oriented. I learned a lot from my personalized lesson due to his constructive feedback and local insights. I went to the surf shop every day I was in Dominical to rent different boards - by the end of my trip I felt like I made some great connections with the staff, and left with some incredible memories. 10/10 experience and would love to go back some day

The Perfect Surf Week - We booked a full week surf package through Debbie at Dominical Surf School. We had one of the best weeks ever. The surf instruction was amazing. We had five two hour sessions over 6-7 days. That included photo shoots and video review. We had the same instructor, Gonzalo, the entire time and learned so much from him. Debbie took time to welcome us into town and show us around. And sorted out our entire schedule for us. This company is amazing and will absolutely take the best care of you if you’re doing business with them. I think we’ll be coming back again in the coming years to surf more and hangout with the wonderful people we met through Dominical Surf School!

Best day! - They helped me figure out the public bus from Uvita to Dominical so i could be in time for the lesson. When arrived they drove us to a beach with the best waves. They know the sea on the back of their hand and take as much time as you need as a student. Would definitely recommend Dominical Surf school!

Great people and great for beginners - We have been to the Dominical Surf School twice now, and both times it has been a highlight of the trip. The instructors are great and booking with them was straight forward. All of thr groups out that day had a 2-1 ratio of learner to instructor and the beach we surfed at made this a perfect experience for people with little surf experience.

Great lesson, excellent instructors - Excellent surf lesson, as an older, 56, person I was a little bit reluctant to try surfing. The staff of instructors were great and made the experience easy safe and fun. 100% recommend Dominical Surf School.

Pura vida with this surf crew! - Another wonderful experience with this talented, smart and safe surf crew. My husband had his first full on surf lesson and came out smiling. After focused beach practice he was up on a white water wave immediately. We highly recommend this surf school and appreciate their culture of teamwork. Pura Vida!
