Land and sea history tour - Great narration on land and sea. Friendly and knowledgeable guides. Food and drinks expensive on board boat, so bring water on board.

Savannah trolley tour and the riverboat cruise - We had a wonderful experience with the Savannah sightseeing trolley tour and riverboat cruise. Our travel host, Captain Phil, was outstanding. During the 90-minute trolley tour through Savannah’s historic streets, he shared a wealth of interesting information mixed with just the right amount of humor. He frequently asked if anyone had questions and was happy to take the time to answer them, making sure everyone had an enjoyable experience. We took the trolley tour in the morning, which was a great choice because the temperatures were more comfortable and there was a nice breeze. The riverboat cruise was also very enjoyable, even though it was quite hot outside. We learned even more about Savannah’s history, including the important role the river played in the city’s cotton industry and the stories of many of the people who lived and worked there. There were plenty of fascinating historical details throughout the narration. Two members of our family chose to relax in the air-conditioned enclosed section, while I spent some time on the upper deck enjoying the views despite the heat. Overall, it was a great time and an excellent way to experience Savannah’s history and beautiful waterfront being that we were only there for the day. We would definitely recommend both the trolley tour and the riverboat cruise.

The Riverboat was the... - The Riverboat was the best part of the tour. That was due mainly because of the heat and if the trolley had air conditioning it wasn’t offered

Gray Line/Kelly. Highly Recommend - We booked through TripAdvisor and this was a fantastic experience from start to finish. My wife loved our guide, Joyce , she made the tour genuinely enjoyable. I was able to use my trusty camera, that has been collecting dust. The real standout, though, is the 48-hour hop-on/hop-off after the tour. With temperatures above 95 degrees this past weekend, being able to call Gray Line/Kelly (the name on the bus) whenever we needed a pickup was an incredible feature and easily 5 stars on its own. The trolley was never crowded, and everyone we encountered was professional. We did take the Riverboat Cruise. ;) I almost forgot to mention this, but I'm glad I didn't: a special thank you to the woman who answers the phones. I'm not sure if it's the same person every time, but whoever it is (or whoever the team is), thank you. She was professional, informative, and incredibly helpful at every step: booking, follow-up questions, figuring out where to meet for pickup on the day, and helping me understand how the trolley system works. We don't know your name(s), but please know your help was truly appreciated. It is hard being a tourist, in the back of my head, i know I am asking questions that you all get a thousand times a day. So, I appreciate your patience.

Trolley tour was excellent, and the boat tour was pretty good - The trolley ride was excellent. Captain Phil did an amazing job, was full of information, kinda mixed in some humor and gave us a great tour of Savannah. The boat ride was decent. It’s pretty hot and somewhat hard to find a cool place where you can listen to the Guide over the speaker, see what he’s talking about, and still not be baking in the hot sun. But overall, the boat ride was good as well.

Land tours are better! - The land tour was excellent. Joyce, our tour guide, is a Savannah native, so she had a wealth of historical information about all the sights that she drove us to. I was sad to have the tour end. It was 90 minutes long, yet did not seem as so. Her stories about Savannah’s history were so rich and full that I just wanted to spend the entire day with her! However, the sea tour was not as interesting. If the tour guide gave us any interesting details about the buildings and Savannah’s skyline, we missed hearing it, and here’s why: In my opinion, a tour of this type should not be conducted on a huge cruise boat. Because of a brief rain we had to sit inside in a very large dining room and you had to be near a window, where some had fogged up, so you really couldn’t see anything. The crowds within the dining room were loud and talkative— too much socializing within the groups of people! So we really couldn’t understand what the tour guide was saying. It was only after the rain stopped that some of us migrated outside and sat on benches around the decks, and could hear the tour guide clearly. Considering what little we did get to hear, the tour guide had an abundance of knowledge about the history on the river, but we missed a great part of it.

Make the tours fair to all race. - I enjoyed just riding around looking. My thing is if you're going to talk about the history include all of it. I feel like if you are going to tell us about the site where the hanging of slaves took place. Tell us about the statues of the slaves that went to war for the country that put them in slavery. We drove right past and around it and he never mentioned it, but was very quick to tell us where they brought the slaves to hang them that they have a name for the section. I won't say what is called Shame on y'all. We pay our money too for these tours. Now the boat tour talked about it all the truth of it all he did a great job. He also was funny.
