Make the time to immerse yourself! - The two-part tour is billed as a half-day event. Our tour guide (Dennis) fully engaged with us pick up near our hotel at 9:00am until he delivered us back about 7 hours later. He did a wonderful job of filling the entire day with remarkable Savannah area history and cultural heritage.

Worth the 6 hours. - Tim was our guide and you could tell he has a love for the history of the area. He shared the history of Wormsloe plantation as much as time allowed (making sure we got the best photos of the oak alley at the entrance) and of selected notable gravesites in Bonaventure Cemetery. Only an all day tour to EACH of these locations would have afforded us more time to learn more of their histories. I think Tim did a good job with the time allowed...even for a tour that lasted 6 hours.

Cemetery and Plantation Tour - This was a great tour. Joyce was our guide. She was very knowledgeable so learned a lot. We spent a good amount of time at both the cemetery and plantation. I have arthritis in my knees so wasn't sure if it would be too much walking prior to going but it wasn't. The pace was great and so happy I went. Then had lunch at Erica Davis restaurant (the brisket sandwich was fabulous) and Byrd cookie company (a wonderful treat!). Pick up and drop off was at my hotel so very convenient.

Historical tour with interesting facts - Dennis was an exceptional guide with extensive subject knowledge. He was very engaged with the tour group and addressed most by their name. He provided very interesting facts that kept the group’s attention. I would strongly recommend Dennis for this tour.

Lots of history - but a long day in the heat - First the good points …. having someone else do the driving and parking was fantastic! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and had lots of stories to tell. The restaurant we had lunch at was very good. We got a great overview of Savannah history. However, our tour lasted 7 hours - quite a long day in the heat. The pace of the tour illustrated the concept of ‘Slowvannah’ - a lot of just standing still listening to the tour guide talk. He shared a lot of personal anecdotes which could have been omitted.

Can’t control Mother Nature and the heat … the tour was wonderful - Our guide, Tim, did a fantastic job narrating. His knowledge, coupled with his 40 years of experience as a local resident, really brought the history to life. Our ONLY complaint was with the tour company! The small parking 🅿️ lot filled up quickly, and forced us to go to a “pay” lot… at the very least they should have reimbursed us. That being said, Tim, gave an excellent tour of the Bonaventure Cemetery and the Wormsloe plantation.

Just an okay tour - He did have lots of info about Savannah and the places we went. But he spent way too much time talking about his family, etc that had nothing to do with our tour. Way too much time standing rather than walking. He was knowledgeable, however, it could have been much more concise in his presentation. I gave 3 stars because we did get the tour we signed up for just did not enjoy our guide
