The BEST DEAL in town!! - We brought friends to Savannah and booked the Sightseeing Trolley Tour with a bonus of 2 DAYS of UNLIMITED shuttle service. On our day of arrival, we booked the 90 minute guided tour. With the coupon code, we paid a little over $20 a piece. Our guide, Stephanie, was very knowledgeable, clearly understood and even offered to customize the tour according to sights we were most interested in. We took notes on the sights we wanted to go back to. For the next two days we walked and used the shuttle service to get around the city. Everyone we encountered with the tour was very friendly and helpful. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour. And be sure to check out the restaurants along river street!! Some of the best and freshest seafood anywhere at very reasonable prices!

Wonderful tour - Great tour. Shuttle was warm on a breezy day. Driver, John, was very informative but not overwhelming. We got dropped off right near our hotel.

Too Much Information - The tour guide seemed very knowledgeable but talked way too fast and provided far too much information to be able to begin to process its significance. Just felt overwhelming and less enjoyable. Getting half the information in a less scripted format would have been far more enjoyable.

Tour guide maybe needs to retire - Unfortunately our tour was a bit of a bust. Although it had warmed up considerably since the earlier, chillier part of the day, the plastic tarp-like windows of the trolley were left down, and with the late-afternoon sun hitting the smudged and scratched surface of the “windows” it was difficult to see the sights much less take any photos. So that was disappointing for sure. But it wasn’t the main problem. For the first 5 minutes of the tour the guide’s amplification system was malfunctioning- warbling vocals and crackling sound. When we finally got his attention he was able to fix it. However… Our guide 1) speed-talked throughout the tour. I had to concentrate so hard to follow what he was saying. And 2) his diction was inconsistent making it even harder. Sometimes, with concentration, I could follow something he was talking about but then he’d trail off ending a sentence with a kind of slur…maybe a southern speech mannerism (?) but combined with such a rapid rate of talking it was very difficult to understand. It seemed he had done his spiel so often that he was just rattling away with no pauses, no emphasis, no attempts to connect with the visitors on the tour. I know it wasn’t just the reaction of me and my family because I could hear comments others were making and noted the body language and exchanged looks of the others. It was honestly stressful and exhausting! Anyway, I hate to give a bad review but I have to be honest. Maybe I’d try the tour again if I came back but with a different guide. The tour guide really makes it or breaks it. In this case it broke.

Bad Decision! - The guide had a faulty microphone that cracked, making his comments difficult to hear. Patrons complained, and corrections were made to the mechanical system. However, he continued to speak too quickly, making the experience a “wish I hadn't wasted the money”!
