Had a great time! - Loved the history behind Savannah. Skippy was great and very knowledgeable. My favorite part was the smudging at the end.

10/10 recommend doing the 9pm tour!! - Absolutely amazing tour, we went for a spur of the moment tourist activity and man what fun. The adult tour was fun and filled with a ton of super interesting knowledge. Lance did an amazing job keeping the tour spooky and fascinating. He’s amazing at his job! For reference, we did the 9pm tour in early November, recommend ware is warm clothing. I wore jeans and sweater and was comfortable. Although the tour was at night our entire group felt safe while walking throughout the city. 10/10 would recommend!

A ghost night in Savannah - Our guide, Faith, was fairly new so she was very enthusiastic. She had someone with her that stepped in for certain explanations. Didn’t catch any ghosties (except for something that was either a skeleton or twigs :D) but we learned a lot about the local folklore.

Soul sucking -- terrible guide - Our guide was a complete bafoon. It was like watching very bad community theater. He was cracking himself up, but entertaining no one else. We have attended ghost tours in the past, and enjoying them or not is entirely dependent on the guide. Jonathan was a joke, and not in a good way. It was a complete waste of time and money. Our group and another couple just wanted to bail midway through it was so bad.

Racist tour guide - Racist tour guide ruined this for us. We left after 18 minutes because the guide was spouting white supremacist propaganda about “white slavery” in the US. When confronted with the facts, this knucklehead refused to admit that “white slavery” is a myth used by white supremacists to try to equate the indentured servant system with slavery, and therefore downplay the terrible history of racial enslavement throughout the South. I understand Savannah is a southern city, but it’s 2022. I paid for a ghost tour, not an indoctrination from the Proud Boys or the KKK. I have no doubt our tour guide was a card carrying member of at least one of those organizations. Spend your money elsewhere unless you want to pay racists to tell you lies about history.

DO NOT use Ghost City Tours - DO NOT take a tour with this company. I recently took the Dead of Night tour in Savannah. The tour guide did not deliver the tour promised in the description. He only took us to a few stops and barely told any ghost stories or hauntings. However, the most terrible part of the experience was the RACIST, insulting, and historically untrue comments. I just read a similar review from March so clearly the company does not care and is not doing anything to ensure this type of thing doesn’t happen again. Spend your money somewhere else.

Racism: The True Southern Haunting - The tour guide we had started off quirky and fun but the second we got into the stories and history of the town, it became apparent he was racist. I know this is the south, and some people might expect that of the locals but I was shocked. He blatantly said “I know I’m supposed to be politically correct but I don’t want to be!” He used a lot of outdated and racist language that was NOT for historical purposes. We left the tour half hour in because we couldn’t continue to listen to him white-wash the past.

Not a ghost tour. - We booked this tour specifically to hear about the “darker side” and “more aggressive” ghosts. It is advertised to discuss murders, demon possessions and poltergeists. The tour was basically a history tour and telling of how people died. Didn’t even talk about the actual ghosts or hauntings. The stories that were told are the same ones you hear on every ghost tour.
