Fun tour for all ages! - This tour was great. The coffee and chocolate experience was so fun, seeing the sloths was amazing - even saw a baby sloth up close, and lunch was delicious. Our driver, Nesmer, is one of the kindest people we have ever encountered. He sat with my elderly parents when they needed a break to rest and kept them engaged. The mountains and surrounding area is very lush. Highly recommend!

Great tour! - This was very educational and interesting. We went from the dry, arid Guanacoste coast up to an area near Tenorio Volcano and rain forest, stopping along the way at a fruit stand to sample fresh pineapple, watermelon and coconut water. Then to the coffee plantation, with a very informative talk, before getting to the reserve with the red-eyed frogs, sloths, two vipers and lots of beautiful foliage. The guide was friendly and patient. We loved the tour.

Worth the wait - Long ride to the rain forest from Guanacaste but well worth it. The weather is very different, more humid and will most likely rain a bit. The tour host was knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed every stop.

We LOVED it! - Mainor was such an incredible guide to have all day long! He continued to give us local insights and made everything so fun! The chocolate/coffee tour was a blast and we truly loved learning from our guides and the hospitality was incredible. The sloths were unbelievable and Diego was beyond helpful in showing us all the local critters! From snakes to frogs to birds and so much more, we loved seeing wildlife we had never seen before! Lunch was right next door and so yummy! The best local food plus a cute little botanical garden outside as well. Overall, the trip is about 2 hours there and 2 hours back depending on traffic and if your crew wants to stop along the way! I suggest bringing a water bottle and comfy clothes/shoes!

Incredible Authentic Experience - Mainor our guide was incredible. So kind and knowledgeable. - Pickup from the hotel was seamless - The drive to the coffee and chocolate plantation was about 2 hours. -The experience at the plantation was fantastic. The views are breathtaking, and the staff is incredibly experienced and kind. We were able to taste the coffee and chocolate from the pods. - After we took a 10 minute drive to the nature reserve. Both Mainor and our guide Steve were incredibly helpful when pointing our flora and fauna. Most notably we spotted 7 sloths, and two toucans! - Afterwards we went next door and got lunch. Highly recommend choosing the authentic Costa Rican meal! - The drive back is the same two hour drive, with a stop for bathrooms, souvenirs, and or convenience store items. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking to experience a slice of local culture!

It was a very nice... - It was a very nice experience, the coffee and chocolate tour was cool and informative but it seemed very rushed, would have loved more time. The guide literally stopped a stop watch at the end. I would still recommend it to a friend though. The sloth and frog part was fun but it felt very staged but it was really cool to get up close and personal with the animals.

Events were nice but trip was terrible - The tour of the sanctuary was nice. We saw a baby sloth up close! The food at the restaurant next door was great. The coffee and chocolate demonstration was good. But the trip there was not fun. The listing says that it is a 1-hour drive; this is probably from Liberia. From our pick-up spot in Guanacaste, it was >2.5 hours drive. The van they picked us up in was old and the air conditioning did not work. Our driver even stopped at a pharmacy on the way back because he felt that his blood pressure was too high because he was feeling dizzy. I think it was the heat. Would not recommend this tour unless you are closer to the sanctuary and don't need to suffer through the trip.
