Enjoy the stunning architecture of the Ringling Mansion as Captain Jim shares fascinating historical insights about the area and the Ringling family’s legacy in Sarasota. The cruise will continue to offer a view of the Powel Crosley Estate from the water.
- Longboat Key - After admiring the historic mansions along the bay, the cruise will head to New Pass Sandbar, an ideal location to observe a variety of fish, dolphins, and manatees. During spring and summer, when manatees emerge from the rivers, there’s a great chance for a close encounter! As the boat continues, a stop at New Pass Grill and Bait Shop is possible for sun protection gear or a sandwich.
- Lido Beach - Big Pass Sandbar, just off Lido Beach, is a favorite stop on our charters. It’s a perfect spot for relaxation, enjoying the water mat, sunbathing, and shell hunting.
- Historic Spanish Point Campus - Cruising south on the Intracoastal, there will be an opportunity to pass Bird Island, a sanctuary where colorful Spoonbills, White Ibis, Gray & White Pelicans, and many other bird species can be observed and photographed. At Historic Spanish Point, a quick stop at Evie’s at Spanish Point for a beverage is possible. From the water, you can view the Historic Spanish Point, a 33-acre archaeological, historical, and environmental museum park on Little Sarasota Bay.
- Turtle Beach - Turtle Beach offers a serene spot to explore the mangroves, search for crabs, or stroll the beach to find unique shells.
- Casey Key - The journey will pass through the distinctive Blackburn Point Bridge, also known locally as the Casey Key Swing Bridge. For those seeking a delightful meal on the water, an extended stop at Casey Key Fish & Tiki Bar can be arranged.
- Siesta Key - As the day of wildlife viewing, shelling, snorkeling, and sandbar fun concludes, guests are invited to relax in the comfortable loungers on the boat and enjoy a cold beverage while touring past the coastal waterfront homes. The tour will then return to the original pickup location.
