- 190 Taft Dr - The tour starts at Ted Sperling park and from the launch we begin our adventure. We start by paddling on Sarasota Bay. This shallow water bay is a great place to practice using the equipment and getting some pointers from the guides. Our tour takes us to the canals in front of the mansions on Lido Key and though they are beautiful to look at, our real goal is to spot dolphins and manatees that frequent the area. Keep your eye open for ospreys, bald eagles and cormorants–all of which are often hunting for fish. The highlight of the tour is a paddle through the windy tunnels carved into the mangroves. This unique ecosystem is home to birds, fish, seastars and crabs. Your guide will take you through the maze of mangrove tunnels, pointing out wildlife as you go. At the end of the tour, your guide will take you back to the original launch site.

Throughout the journey, the guides will direct your attention to the various wildlife present and will try their hardest to locate manatees and dolphins for the enjoyment of the group.

Turtle Beach
Once you enter Turtle Beach park, go straight until the stop sign. Turn left. The public boat launch will be on your left. Find parking anywhere inside Turtle Beach Park.

Great day for a kayak adventure! - I saw the mangroves, manatees and hidden Beach kayaking trip advertised online. My friend and I signed up for it and we had an amazing time! Aaron was our guide and was very knowledgeable and helpful and made sure we were taken care of. I would highly recommend taking the time for the tour. We then went into siesta key for lunch, it was a great day!

Fun little excursion for a quick 2hour get away - We had a little problem with making it on time for the slot we booked. Aaron and crew accommodated us and was able sneak us into another time slot. The trip was cool, he was very informative. Going through the mangroves was really neat. And the 2person kayaks are stable enough for your chic to ride up front with out fear of flipping over, so that was a plus! A must do when on Siesta Key. Oh ya the secret beach was cool too

Wonderful experience - It was a fun experience! Our guide was friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable. We didn't see any manatee but that's just nature. I'd do it again!

So fun for the whole family! - Adults, teens & kids all loved it!! We got to have an up close encounter with a manatee & although we didn't spot any dolphins, we found so many cool sea shells at hidden beach. It was beautiful.

Summer fun! (It’s a workout!) - Jon made the experience quite memorable. He was an excellent guide and naturalist. He explained a lot about the history of the area as well as various species that reside there. He has a good sense of humor and is a great people person. Really enjoyed our swim because it got hot. Overall, it was a very worthwhile experience.

Good trip through the mangroves - Good tour of the mangroves. Spent a little more time on the beach than I expected, but the guide is at the whim of the other guests. Unfortunately, we didn’t see any manatees on our tour. Plenty of fish in the mangroves. I picked up a hitchhiker on my kayak - a tree crab! Overall, it was a good tour. Just wished we saw some manatees or dolphins. Also, our guide Tim was great. Worked well with all the guests. Kept their welfare in mind the whole time.
