A great cooking class and a must do in Chiang Mai - This cooking class is great ! Its done in a nice big place/garden outside of Chiang Mai (pick-up and drop-off is included), in open-air pavillions. Before going to the farm, you visit a small "market", which seems to be a "tourist market for cooking classes" and not a real market used by locals. But that was no problem for us, as we have been to many other authentic markets. On the farm, you take a stroll in the garden, and see how lemon grass, chilies, aubergines, tumeric, galangal etc. is grown. That was very interesting for us. You then cook in open-air pavillions. Several tasty thai dishes, very well explained, and its great fun. You can choose between 2 options for each course, and there is also always a vegetarian variation, so everybody should get happy. What I like: you cook 1-3 dishes and then eat them, before continuing to cook (instead of cooking everything and then just eating all at once). It is for most people (us included), too much food.

So much fun and amazing food! - We did the full day course (back at our hotel at 4pm) and we had so much fun. Our chef Bryan was so personable and he ensured that our dishes turned out- calling out next steps with impeccable timing and keeping an eye on how our food is coming along. They use fresh ingredients and much of the recipes are measured out for you so you can't fail. They also have a photographer and they share the photos at no extra charge, which is amazing since you can't take many photos when actively cooking. The intro to thai veggies and herbs prior to cooking was very informative. There were flavors and scents in Thai food that I hadn't been able to identify and my questions are now answered. I finished my coconut soup, pad thai and panaeng curry and had absolutely no room to eat the remaining 3 dishes, but they kindly wrapped everything up for us. 10/10 would recommend 👌

Best cooking class in chiang mai - Great if you are looking for a cooking course. Transport very well organised. You first go to a local market where you will be given a good explanation about different products. You then arrive at the beautiful grounds where a welcome drink awaits you. Then you go to the herb garden where they make all the products fresh. Instructor very professional. I recommend the full day.

Amazing farm to table cooking class! - Grandma’s cooking school was a highlight of our trip to Thailand. The ingredients and food were unbelievably fresh. We wandered around the the farm and pulled eggs directly from the chicken coop, all the main ingredients for the curries and stir fry dishes are growing in the garden, even the butterfly pea flowers to make mango with blue sticky rice. We even scraped fresh coconut to make coconut milk for our curry. To top it off, the staff were extremely friendly and picked us up right from the hotel. A must do in Chiang Mai if you love Thai food and cooking.

Best Cooking Class - Whenever we travel, we try to take a cooking class as it allows us the opportunity to recreate parts of our trip at home, learn more about the culture we’re in, and have a fun experience where we get to meet new people. This class is our favorite class we’ve done on any trip. You’re picked up from your hotel, take. On a tour of a local market, taken to their farm-based cooking school, tour the produce gardens, and cook a number of meals. Our group was small - about 10 people total, and you’re given 3 options for about 4 different courses. This allowed my wife and I to cook different dishes and we got to basically try everything. There was so much food, we took a lot back to our hotel and had the rest for dinner. Our instructor was positive and fun, and through a QR code you get all the recipes and more, which we reference often with our cooking at home. We continue to make these meals and they’re so delicious at home too. One of the best things we’ve done on a trip and I couldn’t recommend this class more.

The best food experience while gaining new skills 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 - From the moment we stepped foot on the premises, we were impressed by the breathtaking surroundings and the flawless organization. And let's talk about the van pick-up—pure comfort from the get-go! The market stop was an absolute feast for the senses! We explored the vibrant Thai produce, learning fascinating tidbits along the way. And the best part? Tasting those exotic fruits was an absolute delight! We were impressed beyond measure by how easy it was to create mouthwatering dishes. And the best part? Each and every one of them turned out absolutely delicious! It felt like we had unlocked a secret chef within us. Our instructor, Noi, deserves a standing ovation. Not only did she make the cooking process a breeze, but she also injected so much fun and laughter into the day. We couldn't have asked for a more passionate and engaging guide. The cherry on top? The staff's English fluency and warm hospitality. They made us feel right at home and ensured smooth communication throughout. And the kitchen? It sparkled with cleanliness and efficiency, as if by magic. Grandma's Home Cooking School Tour exceeded all our expectations and left us with an insatiable love for Thai cuisine. We gained newfound confidence in our culinary skills, thanks to this remarkable experience.

Amazing - Super super cool day! I had no expectations for the day, but was very pleasantly surprised. We started by going to the market, where our teacher told us about the many different ingredients the Thais use in their food. Then we had a trip to the school's vegetable garden, where we were also told about all the different plants and collected eggs from the chickens. The school was in the finest surroundings and the whole day was well organised. Our sweet teacher, who was also amazing, was also super good at communicating and explaining in English and taught us how to cook many different dishes. I would definitely recommend this cooking class if you are going to Chiang Mai!
