  • Topas Ecolodge - The walk commences from Topas Ecolodge on a quiet road with a great view of the rice terrace below. You then take a slightly ascent to Lech village. You will visit a local house, meet the friendly Red Dao hosts and experience their daily way of life. The Red Dao women got their hair and eyes brows shaved like their ancestors and wear very
    colorful customs. They are famous for beautiful handmade embroidery and basket weaving.

Later you may visit the village’s school and will learn about education and school system in the Northern Mountains of Vietnam. On the way back to Topas Ecolodge, you will walk on small trails passing rice terraces and cross a suspension bridge. Your
guide will explain the interesting cultivating culture of the local farmers.

Red Dao Customs (Lech Dao hamlet) - Half day Excursion from Topas. Nestled in the mountainous terrain of Thanh Kim Commune, the Lech Dao hamlet is populated by the Red Dao people. This brief walking journey provides an opportunity to interact with the locals, explore their households and gain insight into the Red Dao culture.
