The Santo Domingo Struggle delivers a totally engaging 4D movie experience. Attendees will discover both the tangible and digital elements of the 1586 besieged city assault on Santo Domingo, headed by Sir Francis Drake - the Elizabethan era’s most distinguished sailor. The film portrays this intimidating mariner as he invades the city, and is available in nine different languages at once.

The aim of the project is to provide guests with an overview of the Colonial City of Santo Domingo. The movie offers insights into the history, culture, and traditions of the Dominican Republic using state-of-the-art technology. Visitors are treated to a highly interactive and multi-sensory experience, featuring a 3D film with unique elements like motion chairs, wind, mist, fog, heat, and even bubbles!

The Santo Domingo Struggle received accolades at the ITB Berlin - Cinema Festival 2016 and was selected as the Best Cultural Tourism Film at the International Film Festival ‘Art & Tur’ Portugal 2016 .

Great experience - Very clean facilities. They sanitized between shows. Well maintained theater. The staff was very courteous and helpful and the shows were entertaining. The 4D experience was fun, The kids loved it and we found it very interesting too. Reasonably priced I highly recommend it.

So cool! - This was my first 4D Movie experience. The Battle of Santo Domingo was shown on a screen in 4D. I would highly recommend. This little piece of History while on a visit to this breathtaking city..

Awesome experience - The Theater is small but the experience is huge. We were on tour of city and this is one of our stops. Very nice! The people were very nice and friendly, and the show was awesome. Wind in your face, sea spray (not a lot, just a touch for effect), and the show was very educational! Reccomend, 15 miniute show, 4D, in and out. Fun. Not sure of cost, as was included in our tour.

Informative and Fun - Excellent informative and fun movie about the history of the city. The experience makes you feel you are part of history by its sound effects and easy to understand. The staff is also super friendly, shout out to Luis who was very helpful and make my experience super fun.

Informative - Fabulous place, really enjoyed the 4D cinema, totally brilliant. Loved the seats moving, the water spraying the 3D aspects of the film. The sensations of the film were first class.

Pirates and plunder - This was an excellent experience as you get blown and shaking during the 4D film of the battle. I would recommend anyone visiting Santo Domingo to give it a go.

Exciting experience - We chose the three movie package which was a good choice as the movies are quite short, and watching only one would definitely leave you wanting to see more! A fun experience, highly recommended.
