Great Introductory Tour - This was a great tour, the guide Frances was very knowledgeable and fun. I would recommend doing this at the beginning of your trip to Santo Domingo because you learn a lot about the lesser-known aspects of the culture and the city. It sets you up with ideas for what to do / see in the remainder of your time. Highly recommended.

Great Sto. Domingo walking tour. - Excellent tour. We learned a lot about Santo Domingo and Dominican culture. In our group, there were people that only spoke Spanish and others only in English. Our tour guide did a great job going between both languages.

nice walking tour!! - I enjoy walking tours, so was happy to find this tour through the colonial part of the city! Frances was a wonderful guide who brought us to sights we would otherwise not have seen, including the one small hill in the city. We were a small group - my husband had to cancel last minute, so it was just my daughter and I.

Nice Addition - We had a great tour with Frances. This two hour tour was a nice compliment to the history and major tourist attractions in the Zona Colonia with more emphasis on the neighborhoods and the people who live and have lived there.

Great tour of the Colonial Zone - I was a little irritated at first because my tour guide was 8 minutes late and I was traveling solo. However, my guide ended up showing up and his English was good so I was able to understand him without any problems. He gave me a really in depth overview of the area and I learned alot of really cool history. We walked around everywhere and he explained everything to me. The description said we’d end the tour at a Colmada where we could grab a drink but he left me after the Chocolate Factory which was fine as he explained to me how to get back, so I was fine. I actually walked up to the square to check out what was happening and it had plenty going on so I was glad I did. You’d think that would be part of the tour but maybe we skipped it as it was only me. I think it was shortened as I was the only one there but I feel like I saw/heard a lot and def was worth the fee I paid. Would recommend this at the start of your trip so you can learn about the area and explore later on your own.

Tour exists. This company does not. - This company is a scam. We purchased our tickets online in advance, but the paper tickets were meaningless at the location. DO NOT BUY. Here's what happened on our trip to Santo Domingo in January 2023. We printed out our tickets and arrived at the meeting location on time for the tour. We looked around for the tour guide. A cluster of tour guides on the corner of the plaza asked our preferred language. "English? Ok! We find someone." "Here, this guy -- he speak English." "Ok, we go." Our uniformed tour guide took us on a tour of the historical high points of Santo Domingo for about 2 hours. Great. At the end, we tipped him generously and prepared to go. Great confusion ensued. Evidently he does not work for 'Rincones de Mi Pais,' and works for the city as an independent contractor, as do all the other uniformed guides. There are many tour companies in the city -- no one had ever heard of 'Rincones de Mi Pais.' We inquired at a tour agency, who also attempted to contact them, and was unable. We were never able to get ahold of the original company (if it exists) the took our payment. Conclusion: This online company is a scam. Purchase your tour of Santo Domingo from real people once you get there. Although we received a ticket, upon arrival at the location, there was no one to take us on a tour except privately contracted

Canceled by operator the night before - Operator canceled event at 7pm on a Saturday night before a scheduled 9am start on Sunday morning, due to insufficient minimum. That was too late to make alternative plans, obviously. Nowhere do they warn of this cancelation policy, nor specify what is the minimum. I don't blame Viator entirely for this, but since the operator has surely canceled abruptly like this before, I blame Viator for continuing to work with this tour operator.
