Great priavte one-day wine tour in Maipo Valley - The tour was so fun and I enjoyed it very much. I traveled alone, but my private guide Christian and driver/coordinator Felipe kept me very good company. We visited three wineries in Maipo valley. I have done tastings in each of them. Each of the estates has its own characteristics and beautiful architectures, and great wines of course. During the trip, Chrisitan shared a lot of wine knowledge with me as well as interesting facts about the city and the country.

Five days with dedicated guides and multiple VIP experiences - They were five wonderful days. My wife and I took this tour to celebrate her 50th birthday and it was an unforgettable experience. What would stand out most is the level of personalization, adapting the visits to our particular tastes and preferences. We visited nine vineyards in different valleys, alternating with other experiences such as a boat trip to eat oysters, a visit to a local brewery, and intimate conversations with the owners of several boutique vineyards. Very well selected hotels and restaurants for a totally VIP tour. The constant service attitude of Felipe our tour operator is unbeatable, he even returned to a place an hour and a half away because I had left my backpack, with the greatest willingness. The car we traveled in was very comfortable for my wife and I who traveled in the back. Christian was the sommelier who delighted us with his stories the entire time. Something that I would highlight about him is that he is not only an expert in wine (he works in a vineyard), but he complements the information with extensive knowledge of history, architecture and plants. It also explains in a simple way with analogies for those of us who are not so experts. I recommend before traveling to check not only the temperature but the winds. When we packed our suitcase we thought it was going to be very hot and the truth is we couldn't wear almost any of the clothes we brought, because the cold wind was very strong at certain times of the day. The shorts and flip flops were left in the suitcase and we had to buy a jacket. Save plenty of space to bring many bottles of wine, there are many varieties according to tastes and at very affordable prices compared to our country (Colombia). I also recommend bringing a stain remover product for clothes, because of the inevitable red wine stain that will drip off.

Fantastic day in wine country! - We had such a lovely day with Christian and Diego! Having the opportunity to experience a small, medium and larger winery (but only us on a private tour!) was fantastic. We were welcomed with open arms and enthusiasm. Highly recommend!

Maipo Valley Wine Tours Private Tour : Maipo Valley For Wine Lovers - Highly recommended! This was a full and perfect day in and around tranquil and picturesque Isla de Maipo in the Maipo Valley wine region. Anyone visiting the Santiago area who appreciates (at any level) wine should not miss this opportunity. The Maipo Valley Wine Tours Team are great hosts, not only for the wine region tour but for their beautiful country as well. Felipe is the consummate guide and coordinator – everything was planned and executed seamlessly and in such a warm and engaging manner. Cristian is an exceptional wine expert with a vast knowledge base and perhaps even more importantly, the ability to impart that information in an easily understandable and thoroughly entertaining fashion. Both Cristian and Felipe are well known to, and well versed in, the local winery scene and it was a real pleasure to spend the day with these two most likeable gentlemen. And our warm thanks also to Juan for making the initial contact and scheduling so friendly, thoughtful and easy. A great itinerary of well-chosen wineries, from one large and famous to other medium sized and family-owned operations you may not before have heard of, but which you will, after your visit, never forget. At all of these fine establishments we were greeted and treated like valued guests, given extensive tours of the vineyards and winery facilities, and then provided wonderful relaxed and insightful tastings of some very nice wines. And, we must not forget to mention the lovely breakfast (with wine!) at the home and studio of a very talented local artist and the delicious lunch (yes – again with wine!) at a small family run restaurant frequented by the locals. From the time we were picked up in the morning at our hotel in the city until we were returned late in the day, we thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Pinehills02360

A fantastic full day's introduction to top quality wines across each 'alto' region of Maipo - We spent a full day on a private, premium tour with Felipe and Cristian who were interesting, knowledgeable and also fun hosts and guides! With manifestations taking place in Santiago we were picked up nice and early from our downtown hotel and everything was comfortable and safe - well advised on situations by the team, and were not impacted by current unrests in any way. We had a brief but charming breakfast stop, and a really super, more leisurely country homestead lunch. We had fascinating winery visits starting with a local, small scale place with history of production methods included, and some nice organic wines too! De Martino, Santa Ema followed, both including excellent tours around the wineries, strolls thro. their vines, and three-wine variety tastings with local snacks included. Some fine wines were experienced this way. We knew specifically that we also wanted to visit and learn about higher altitude Maipo wineries too, and so made the longer but fascinating journey way out to VIna Perez Cruz in Huelquen. Superb wines and superb architecture there too, well worth the travel time. Our wine tour day with Felipe and Cristian was the perfect introduction to the wines of this amazing country at the very start of our 3 week trip around Patagonia Chile/Argentina. Having done this we were able to pick out and try many wines thought our travels in Chile so would recommend to anyone to start their trip to Chile in this way! Well done to the team who made it all possible. S & A, Londres, UK.

Authentic Chilean experience - We thoroughly enjoyed our day with Felipe, who picked us up at our hotel in Santiago at 8am for a full day. We visited four Isla de Maipo wineries of various sizes, had breakfast in the home of a local artist, and enjoyed lunch at a farm cooked by the owner herself. Everyone was warm and welcoming, especially Felipe! The wine was very affordable to buy as well. We have visited wine regions in Napa, Sonoma, Santa Barbara, Willamette, and Burgundy - and this experience ranked among the best. Get to know the off-beaten path with Felipe and Maipo Travel!
