Updated Happiness Matters At The Hamilton - Updated review. To clarify: The food poisoning disorder spoken of was from formerly visiting San Antonio by the River Walk, NOT from the Hamilton Hotel in DC. A kitchen staff member at the Hamilton was caring enough to provide a broth for us, since we could not consume any solid food - a real blessing.

Great Ride - Our driver was very efficient! He knew just how to get around any potential problems. We enjoyed his personality, he was fun to talk to and was very knowledgeable about the area we drove through.

Taxis to either to or from. Port San Antonio is 76 miles and will run you about $ 150. From the port to Santiago Center - The college girls as porters know the safe taxis just outside of the terminal, it worked for us. The ship had no info on this, so trust me on. The ship organized buses to the airport but not to the city so taxis are your only option.

Terrible - Ruta Chile - Whole Saler Tour Operator. We paid $135 for a transfer from the airport in Santiago to our hotel in the cruise port of San Antonio. The Ruta driver never showed up. We called the emergency number on their voucher and were told there had been an equipment problem and that we would be compensated for our out of pocket expenses when we arrived at our hotel. Again no one showed up.

NON PROFESSIONAL DRIVER - 95% One hand on the wheel. Not paying full attention on the road. Used both hand to do cell phone searches etc. One stretch he did 150 Km/hr. speed. Ran over couple of orange plastic lane dividers. Complained about paying highway toll fee, and kept saying luckily he had money to pay. We did not feel safe at all.
