Great - Views were astonishing, and we had an amazing time. Drive is long, but packed with scenic mountains, and our guide told interesting stories along the way. Be aware that the route may vary based on the weather - our tour skipped Cuatro Palos due to the chance of fog covering the view, which was a bit sad.

Amazing Experience! Well worth a full day! - Alien Huerta was a wonderful guide! The views & stops along the way were incredible! An unforgettable experience. Alien made sure everyone was comfortable with food, water, breaks, and photo opportunities. He was flexible with stops & games kids played! He made a long ride seem fast.

A Great Way to Experience Sierra Gorda in One Day! - This was a super fun trip! We stopped at Bernal for coffee and pastries then took a gorgeous drive to get to the hike of Cuatro, Palos, which had breathtaking mountain view’s. The walk to the waterfalls was worth it. Leave early and return late to make the round trip in one day. A great way to experiment the best of Sierra Gordas’s beauty.

Once in a lifetime experience - Reserva de la Biósfera Sierra Gorda is an amazing region in Queretaro and is well worth the trip. We visited Mirador Quatros Palos (the high point) - the views were amazing! Ask the local guides about the Maguey plants. We also visited Puente de Dios, where you'll hike (2km each way), alongside the Rio Escanela and end at a beautiful waterfall. The water is refreshing, especially after that hike! Our tour guide was Alex - he's a retired architect and history aficionado. He was well versed with the history of the areas and was even able to offer insight on the architectural styles in the cities. Other comments: the river excursion offers you a chance to get into the waterfall, so bring a swimsuit, a towel, and a change of clothes. I wore shoes into the river and I'm glad I did. Tipping: bring a few hundred pesos for each of the (3) guides - they'll appreciate it! Timing: This will be a 12 to 13 hour day. Pack snacks and water. You'll have a chance to eat lunch at a local restaurant - bring cash (small bills!! They don't usually have change for 500 MXD) You'll be in the car for about 6 or 7 hours total. If you get car sick, consider taking some medicine. The road to the vista point and river are extremely curvy and contain dozens of hairpin turns. It's quite the ride! Consider going during the work week - We went on a Friday, and there were very few crowds. The guides at Mirador Quatros Palos told us that it was a "cattle call" on Saturday and Sunday. ** be early! This tour has a tight timeline and the tour WILL leave without you. ***
