The La Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, constructed in 1608, is a breathtaking estate positioned just outside of the city boundaries. It served as the final residence of the Liberator Simón Bolívar. The Pibe Valderrama Monument offers a salute to Carlos Valderrama, known as the Pibe, a native of the city and one of Colombia’s finest football legends. The Tayrona Museum has four dedicated areas that narrate the two-century-long history of the people of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and the Magdalena department, via the Tayrona Gold Museum - Customs House. The Bahía De Santa Marta tour culminates with a scenic view of its ridge which provides a beautiful panorama of sunsets alongside the iconic Morro, the witness of numerous pirate invasions during the colonial era. The tour ends at the Bahía del Rodadero, a popular tourist spot.
