Highlights
  • Cra. 1c #22-93 - At 11 am we will board the Artivela, our 56 feet Cooper Mapple Leaf sailboat and we will leave for our destination Bahia Concha in Tayrona Park (or other destination depending on the weather). The navigation to our destination will take approximately 1.5 hours. We will be talking about the park. We will put our rods to go fishing while passing in front of the bay of Taganga and Granate. There we will start the famous Isla Aguja pass, the only island in Tayrona Park. Once we pass the island, we will enter Bahia Concha and try to anchor as close to the beach. Our fellow travelers can choose to swim, walk on the beach, snorkel or just sunbathe on the boat. They will also enjoy a fresh fish dish made right there on the grill.\nAround 3:45 pm we will begin our return to Santa Marta. We will sail and everyone participates. We will arrive at the Marina at 5pm. The Tayrona park closes from October 19 to November 2. We continue sailing other routes

Additional Information

Hello, I’m Luis, a former Economist turned into a professional consultant with over 20 years of experience. However, my true passion lies with sailing and immersing myself in nature, particularly the sea. It’s a joy that has run in my family and became a part of me before I even turned a month old. Now, I dedicate myself to imparting my knowledge of sea navigation to the folks joining me on this adventure. Upon moving to Colombia with my kin, I’ve had the privilege to discover Tayrona in a way not many get to - from the vantage point of the sea. It’s a one-of-a-kind adventure that I can’t wait to share with you. You’ll find me to be bilingual, fluent in both Spanish and English and passionately sharing local anecdotes. I promise you a memorable day. The exploration is led either by me or my crew, comprising lifelong sailor Didier, and Alvaro and Jeison, both biologists with an enduring love for the ocean. Please be advised, Tayrona park remains closed from October 19 to November 2. However, our sailing expeditions will still be underway along other routes.

Great tour - can definitely recommend for a nice day away - Really chill day out. The boat itself sails at a nice speed so quite relaxing. My group consisted mostly of families and couples who were all very nice. Really enjoyed the lunch and spending time snorkeling and on the beach.

Great day! - We had a great day out on the boat. We really enjoyed the lunch and snacks and the staff was very friendly. The beach was a little busy for our liking but the water was nice and the snorkeling was quite good too.

Wonderful - Fantastic place to spend a vacation. Some of my brothers and families met. We celebrated the marriage of a nephew at Casa Vela Beach on a phenomenal day with a 🌞 of 38 degrees 😎. We went to Palomino and went down the Sierra de Santa Marta on tires? Through the Don Diego River, one of the 30+ rivers that flow into the Caribbean Sea. Beautiful landscape learning a lot about nature and animals that live in that path. We ate seviche and enjoyed the strong waves of the Caribbean Sea. We stayed in the area called Bello Horizonte, a very safe Princess of the Sea complex. I recommend it 👍 guards 24 hours a day. Fantastic pool and very quiet. I really liked Santa Marta and its people, the very honest people. We even left a cell phone on the beach a block from where we were staying. Sleepy beach and the Lord of the awnings brought it to the condominium. The man from the taxi that we used sometimes also saved us a hat that we thought was lost😊 Santa Marta ✨️✨️✨️🎉

Fantastic day sailing - Amazing day out sailing around Santa Marta (Tayrona was closed), perfect conditions for sailing. We all stop to do snorkeling where we saw many different and colourful fish. The all team has been extremely caring and welcoming, lovely food served; good friendships made onboard. I highly recommend this trip, a fantastic day out. Elena

Great trip! - Everyone was very kind and helpful. Seemed like high winds but felt so comfortable with our captain driving. Food was delicious. Snorkelling was really neat as well! Great way to experience Tayrona National Park!

First Colombian Tour - We really enjoyed the food and beach. The boat crew and Taylor were very friendly and helpful., and the boat was great. I only wish there were more than one crew member who spoke English and he was a little more fluent. We got by fine with the minimal Spanish/English combo. 👍😉

Nice getaway from Santa Marta - Bahia Concha is beautiful. The trip went very well although it should leave earlier in order to have more time on the beach. The grilled fish for lunch was excellent. The drinks on the beach are not included and outrageously expensive. Check the prise BEFORE ordering. Nice get away from the opressive heat of Santa Marta.

The crew were good and... - The crew were good and the beach was excellent! The lunch was tasty, and the day was great. I wish we had more time on the beach and got to see a little more of Tayrona, we only got to see one beach.
