Amazing experience near Tayrona Park! - Wonderful experience! We left our hotel at 9am and returned after 2pm. There was 7 of us, 5 adults and 2 kids (4 and 6). The 6yo got to ride her own horse and she was delighted, Juan was wonderful guiding her horse and helping navigate the high waters. The 4yo stayed on the horse with his Dad which worked out great too. Another guide, Elena, was on the horse in the middle of the pack to make sure the horses behave. Be prepared to spend 1.5-2hrs on the horse, both on land and thru the water, 1hr break at the beach then 1.5hr back. I wish we wore our water shoes as your legs will definitely get wet when the horse walks through the river leading to the beach near Tayrona Park. Also, at the beach, I wish we took our swim suits, but instead we just got our clothes wet :-) most of the ride is in the sun so I recommend lots of sunscreen. Horses were wonderful for most part, a little wild but that just made the experience fun. Great time, the guides were both absolutely amazing and the experience was most definitely worth the price!

Wild Wild Fun - Wow! Juan David & Elda were excellent guides for a wonderful experience. I’ve never ridden a horse before but they made me feel extremely comfortable, helped guide my horse when he was feeling timid or anxious, and by the end of the tour helped me feel as confident as someone who’s been riding for years. While on horseback I felt like I was in Red Dead Redemption or The Hateful 8 or something like that. Beautiful cinematic views, crossing rivers, trekking through jungle, and arriving on the beach was a fun adventure. In addition Juan David made everything fun & helped everyone feel relaxed with his passionate and friendly energy. 11/10 experience, I’d recommend this for anyone who is looking for a fun way to get to know Tayrona park.

Fabulous and unique horse ride - We had a lovely ride on horses Maria and Santiago from Los Naranjos beach following the Rio Piedra to the bridge and back. It was great fun wading through the water and going into the forest. It’s is a unique experience. Our guide was called Elda who was very informative and clearly loves the horses and takes great care of them treating them like family! At the very end we had a short canter along the beach which was a great end to a delightful day out. Definitely to be recommended.

Very nice morning horseback adventure on the Piedras river - We had a great time going on this horse riding trip for about 1.5 hours. Our guide was a friend of Juan David, Galina, very nice guy who takes very good care of his horses. Started on the playa de Los Naranjos, and go up the Piedras river and into the forest and then come back to the see. When we took a short break on the river, Galina took the horses equipment off so they can rest and eat some good grass. All in all a very nice short morning horseback adventure. Unforgettable experience ✨ - One of the best experiences of my life, definitely a must do in Santa Marta. A beautiful view all ride long with an amazing and super friendly tour guide. I went with one friend and we were the only ones in the tour making it a super private and amazing ride! After horse riding for an hour we arrived at an amazing beach where we relaxed for 2 hours. Amazing outstanding views, thank you for the experience definitely one we will never forget 😊

An experience to be AWE - What an amazing experience!!! Juan David know very well the area and was always respectful and kind. The view were breathtaking. Hope to repeat the experience. Wild West meets Columbia on Horseback - Unbelievable experience! You will ride saddle deep in water in the river, so be prepared with a backpack. Riding on the beach was great but this is a lot of riding thru the river mainly and jungle with a break to swim in the river with locals. We learned about indigenous plants with medicinal qualities for antibiotics and for fending off mosquitos. We saw lots of birds and even the mico titi monkey. Our guide was very skilled and took fabulous photos and video, just give him your phone. Amazing!

Most Do Experience - We met Juan David and his tour company back in 2018 and we did 2 Tours with him, Los Naranjos with horses and La Piedra Ansestral Mama DuWanabi on horses we had a great experience because we were able to access places that you never be able with out him, the petroglific stones are a truly great experience, since 2018 every time we take a trip to Santa Marta Juan David is a most see local even if we don't have time to take a tour is a person to take out for lunch or even drinks. We look forward to do more tours with him and get to incredible places his company can take us.

Best Guide ever Juan David - We stayed around Tayrona Parc for a week, and one friend recommand us to call Juan David if we want have a beautiful day with Horses. It was true he's very kind he explain everything (nature history and the region) and he's very responsable with the horses. We had a little problem because one of us fall from the horse and hurt himself and Juan David took care of us Like a Doctor !!!
