Arrival at Santa Maria

The sun was just beginning to rise as I arrived in Santa Maria, the golden light casting a warm glow over the pristine beaches. As a seasoned surfer, I’ve chased waves across Central America, but the allure of Cabo Verde’s surf scene had been calling my name for some time. The island’s reputation for excellent surf conditions and the promise of a unique experience at the Surf Hub had me eager to hit the waves.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by the friendly team at the Surf Hub. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and I could tell right away that they were passionate about sharing their love for surfing. Amy, one of the instructors, was particularly welcoming, answering all my questions with a smile and setting the tone for what would be an unforgettable experience.

The Lesson Begins

The lesson kicked off on the beach, where we were introduced to the basics of surfing.
