Local tour with tons of insider information! - Gustavo was amazing! A local guide with historical knowledge you wouldn't be able to find in the history books. Each interpretation of Guadalupe was specific and full of local and global history, allowing me to reflect on the interplay of religion, indigeneity, and colonialism. One-of-a-kind tour of Santa Fe!

Really interesting tour and guide! - Gustavo gives a really great tour. I've walked the rail yard area a bunch but never like this. Gustavo is very knowledgeable about the artists and stories behind all of the Virgin of Guadalupe works in town (and far beyond). He's very friendly and doing some really interesting work here. The Virgin of Guadalupe is a fascinating lens to view the histories of Santa Fe with--the Indigenous, Spanish, American--and how all of these histories brings us to today's Santa Fe. Great tour!

Fascinating topic with passionate guide - This tour was a real treat. Gustavo, warm and highly knowledgeable, takes you to various depictions of Lupita de Guadalupe around town. The tour focuses on the Virgin but functions as an effective entry point in the various fascinating histories — colonial, indigenous, and religious — that converge in Santa Fe. Those interested in social justice will especially appreciate the tour; through Lupita I learned about ongoing struggles in the area, and the individuals fighting for change. Highly recommended!

Best walking tour in Santa Fe! - Gustavo led an amazing tour that got to the heart of part of the culture of Santa Fe. This is a thoroughly researched tour that led us through historic neighborhoods, magnified Lupita art that one might miss if not paying close attention, and brought a loving sense of community. As a person who is newer to Santa Fe, I appreciated meeting new people and this art history tour was the cherry on top!

Amazing for locals and visitors alike! - Gustavo shared a beautiful and fascinating slice of Santa Fe that often goes unnoticed—truly a treat! He was such a generous host of our group and connected personally with each person on our tour. It’s clear that this tour is the product of many, many hours of personal interviews and research. A must for creatives, transplants to NM, and those who value the presence and stories of those who have been marginalized through history. We’re so grateful for the opportunity to learn from such rich perspectives!

Great experience - Gustavo is a wonderful tour guide. He has thoroughly researched all of the Guadalupe art on the walk. It’s a great way to connect to the city through the many beautiful representations of this cultural icon. Highly recommend! I also advise stopping by the farmers market first, and walking with a coffee and a pastry.
