- We will be walking about 3/4 of a mile. Please wear comfortable shoes.
- Santa Fe is hot and dry in the summer and can be cold and snowy in the winter. Please dress appropriately and bring bottled water with you.
- Canyon Road is a historic area with uneven sidewalks. Many of the galleries have steps between interior rooms. If you have mobility restrictions, please contact us directly so that we can discuss options with you.
- Public restrooms are limited on Canyon Road. Please use the restroom before arriving for the tour.

We will meet at Wiford Gallery, located at 403 Canyon Road. Free street parking is available along Canyon Road, Delgado Street, and Alameda Street.

Great art tour experience!!! - Elaine was an amazing tour guide for the galleries on Santa Fe’s Canyon road. The galleries she chose were interesting and covered a wide gamut of art styles. She was patient, answered our questions, and had a great sense of humor. We really enjoyed the tour!!!!

Wonderful Canyon Road Tour with Art Expert Elaine - I recently took this tour on Canyon Road with Santa Fe Art Tours, and it was a wonderful experience! Our guide, Elaine, was incredibly knowledgeable about the sites and art galleries, sharing insights with her rich background in art history. She selected the top highlights, ensuring we experienced the best of what Canyon Road offered.

- The idea of visiting Canyon Road on my own seemed intimidating given the large number of galleries. The tour was a really great introduction! Our tour guide was super nice and knowledgeable. The tour was a nice collection of galleries across multiple styles, and I enjoyed the history side too (e.g., pointing out historical buildings and their significance). She offered great recommendations on places to visit based on my art tastes. There were 11 people on the tour including me, and it did not feel too large. I may have been the only person touring solo, but the other people on the tour were so incredibly friendly and it was easy striking up conversations about art and our visits to Santa Fe. Highly recommend!

Thoroughly enjoyable and educational. - Eileen was friendly, lively, and very knowledgeable. She started by giving us a condensed history of Santa Fe and it’s eventual development of an art colony. The art galleries along Canyon Road are rich and diverse. She spent teaching us how to evaluate and appreciate works of art.

Beautiful Experience! - We loved our Canyon Road Art and History tour! Our guide was so knowledgable. She shared so many interesting facts and helped us see Santa Fe with a clearer picture. We also loved the prompts she gave us for viewing art differently. We truly couldn't have had the the depth of this experience on our own.

Fun and interesting. The art activity was informative and fun. - Our guide was informative and I learned ideas and facts I had not before. Both my husband and I enjoyed the mini art lesson. The tour was just the right length. We felt energized and uplifted afterward. Well worth the cost. Felt like we were getting in insiders look at several Valarie’s.

Great education on Art AND history! - Our guide (Mary I believe🤔) was exceptional, sharing so very much about local and area history and culture as it related to art in the great variety of galleries we toured. Our guide was great at engaging her audience and answering questions - very knowledgeable! She was also very cognizant of the time and respectful of our schedules.

Experienced and Knowledgeable Guide - Do not Miss! - Elaine was amazing as a tour guide, and clearly very well-trained and experienced in the art field. She took us to galleries that were simply amazing, and my favorite was one I probably would have walked by without her guidance. I would highly recommend doing this tour, as the number of galleries can be overwhelming and getting Elaine's recommendations allowed us to maximize our time on Canyon Road.

Interesting Art Tour - Our guide was very knowledgeable and took us to some great galleries. I enjoyed the interactive part the most where we spoke about the art pieces. I had a hard time staying focused on the history part, it was too long and would have preferred walking around gallery a bit more while talking or interacting more.
