Delicious refreshments were provided and although we were carefully guided through our paintings, there was enough freedom for everyone to pursue their unique creative inspiration. I have no painting experience and left with a finished canvas that I've very happy with. Can't wait to try another class!

Amazing class with Laura at Artful Soul - My acrylic painting class with Laura was an amazing experience! I had no previous art classes and left feeling like an artist! I absolutely loved it and would recommend this class to anyone that wants a new beautiful experience.

Great fun, and you will learn to paint! - Highly recommend these folks to visitors and locals both. My wife and I are local to Santa Fe. We took Laura and Mickey's "Mimosas and Masterpieces" class. I was a complete beginner, my wife a bit more experienced. Laura and Mickey are great teachers. They were patient with a beginner, and highly creative. This isn't a cheesy 'drink and paint' class - by the time we were done, we both had paintings we are happy to hang up and show off. The mimosas were good also... The photo below was from the Colorful Pet Portraits with Mickey Bond. She taught us a few different ways to use mixed media and photo transfers to create those paintings.

Awesome Experience - A must do if you visit Santa Fe!! Laura did an amazing job teaching my friends how to paint when we visited Santa Fe with friends. Pink Moon over water by Georgia O'keefe. She is kind, compassionate and is a great encouraging teacher. I had no artistic ability but was pleased with my painting.

Paint class at Artful Soul Sante Fe - My wife Linda, twin cousins with their spouses were able to spend some time in Sante Fe, New Mexico. Finally able to take our dear childhood friends painting class with low expectations on performance but high expectations on fun. I was absolutely blown away by the experience, Laura is a truly great teacher and can get non painter’s like me to actually paint something that amazed me. If any of you are in Sante Fe I highly recommend you give this a try. You too will be amazed. My wife, cousins and their spouses came away with the same feelings. The area is awesome too, a trip there is definitely worth it. THANKS LAURA FOR AN EXPERIENCE I WILL REMEMBER EVERY TIME I SEE MY MASTERPIECE!!

A Perfect Santa Fe Creative Experience - While vacationing in Santa Fe, I attended a three-hour “Creative Painting Experience” with Laura T instructing. It was an incredible, creative, and lively experience with Laura. She will help you express your creative side while also providing an amazing amount of information about the fundamentals of painting. During the session we worked on planning the composition of the painting, basic color concepts, and working with acrylics and different brush techniques. I recommend a half-day at “Artful Soul” with Laura T for an incredible, eye-opening experience. You will look at art and your own creative ability differently.

Do something creative in Santa Fe! - We had an awesome mother-daughter paint and sip afternoon at Artful Soul! And it just so happened that another mother and daughter booked the class as well. After chit-chatting over mimosas and pastries we learned about the van Gogh painting we were going to replicate. Not having any painting experience, owners Laura and Mickey walked us through the steps to building up the composition. From there we were let loose with the paints to interpret the masterpiece as closely or as loosely as we wanted, with Laura and Mickey cheering us on. The studio is a quirky quintessential Santa Fe space perfect for inspiring your creative self. We can’t wait to go do it again!

Fun day of being reacquainted with Watercolors. - Laura is a very outgoing and enthusiastic instructor. Her art is Abstract and very rooted in personal experiences. Her background with teaching with local schools is evident with her patients with adults. I hadn't painted since 1973, and with Laura's pointers and patient with my questions, was successful in the completion of my watercolor landscape. Laura was also very knowledgeable about the Santa Fe restaurant venue, the Ancient Cultural sites, and just about anything that New Mexico and surrounding States has to offer tourist. This was a great experience for me, and I recommend it if you want to explore your Artistic side.

Santa Fe Highlight! - Where to even begin! This past May after finishing another year of teaching I made my way down to visit family in Santa Fe and enjoy the start of summer. To start, Artful Soul couldn't have been located in a better place with a beautifully unique exterior holding winding hallways of shops within (it was nice to be able to explore the building as we showed up early before the class started). With the class itself, it was clear that art had been a part of Laura's life and was a part of who she is. Throughout the class I learned that she had at one point been a teacher in schools and that is a skill that clearly stayed with her when it came to guiding everyone in the class. While her instructions were spot on, it was her encouragement and character that made the class everything. She was insightful, fun, and her knowledge of everything Santa Fe went far beyond what I feel I could find on any blog posts. Thanks for a great experience, Laura!
