A journey that will take you into the Cloud Forest right after the sun sets in the horizon, and the darkness reveals the magical world few human eyes have ever witnessed.

Every day at 6:00 p. m. and for approximately two hours you may experience the magical transformation that occurs within the heart of one of the most biodiversed forests in the world at Ficus Trails.

At this time in the forest the protagonists are the animals that live in this habitat, where you can see some birds sleeping, as well as the nightlife of animals like some mammals that go out to eat at this time.

Transportation, flashlights and Bilingual Naturalist Guides are always available.

Closed shoes, light poncho, long pants, jacket and camera are highly recommended.

You are requested to indicate at what time you wish to make the tour.\n\n\xA0transportation in the Monteverde-Santa Elena area, from 5:45 p.m., depending on how far the tour hotel is.\n\nClosed shoes, light poncho, long pants, jacket and camera are highly recommended. There is a maximum group size of 9.\xA0

Unique experience, knowledgeable guide - Had a wonderrful time at the night tour. Our tour guide is attentive and knowledgeable, and went the extra mile to help us take pictures of wildlife such as glass frogs, salamanders and even a sleeping monkey(!) with his telescope and our cameras. Highly recommend!

Totally worth it, but ask for the right guide - This was a great activity and totally worth it! It always of course depends on your guide too and I must say we were extremely lucky in Brandon. He was enthusiastic from the start, knowledgeable, communicative, attentive, funny and very eager for us to see as much as possible. He was explaining everything along the way, spoke about the trees, nature, as well as the animals we saw and didn't see and also, gave us a tarantula show by prompting one to attack his branch, so that we could witness an attack as well as its stillness. He also helped with taking our photos and if you didn't manage, he would share the photos he took later on whats app. The expedition provides torches and have a toilet facility before the start of the tour. We saw multiple tarantulas, frogs, spiders, a green pit viper snake, a salamander, a butterfly, ants and different lizards. I would definitely recommend this tour and ask for our guide.

Amazing wildlife sightings - We were a large group of people but our guide was so passionate and made everything we saw super interesting. We were lucky to see A LOT of animals on our tour!

Amazing variety of wildlife - Anyone interested in a night tour in Monteverde should book this one. They keep the groups a manageable size so everyone can heard the guide and enjoy the tour. The variety of wildlife we saw was incredible, ranging from birds to a porcupine to snakes, tarantulas, frogs and more.

It was an amazing... - It was an amazing experience! Maurício, our guide, knew a lot of particularities of the local nature and provide us the experience to see and help taking fotos of an amount of animals like 2 tarantolas, one viper, one porcupine, one toucan, lizards and others.

Unforgettable - When you arrive, the site doesn't look like much but once the tour begins with our guide Mauricio, it was wow. Impossible to see nocturnal creatures without it. Truly unforgettable

Great tour. We got to see... - Great tour. We got to see a green viper, tarantula, frogs and two different types of toucan’s. It was very windy and rained so we didn’t see any sloths. We had a great tour guide who was very knowledgeable.

Good but not memorable - They pick-up and drop off went very smoothly and they were super punctual! As for the experience, it was good and worth the price but not memorable! But based on other”s reviews I believe we just didn’t have luck with the guide. We got to see some tarantulas, frogs and a snake but the guide didn’t tell us much about it and wasn’t as compelling as other guides. Overall, good for the price and worth a shot!
