Great experience with a great guide! - Really cool trip learning about the history of the silleteros with guide David and silletero “Nacho”! Very tranquil place that you don’t want to leave, and having the history explained in English is very helpful. David explains a lot about the history of the area and is knowledgable about all things Medellin - and thanks for the empanada!!

Flower farm had day trip - Guide arrived on time. Very friendly interesting and helpful guide who was also our driver. The farmer was very welcoming and gave us a good insight to his flowers and making the displays for the flower festival. Delicious hot chocolate at local village on the way back and home via a great sunset view over Medellin. Would recommend this trip . Lovely peaceful contrast to the city.

Incredible improvised tour - So, things did not go as planned. I booked this tour for the day before the Silleteros parade, Mario came to pick me up at my hostal, we drove for a while but discovered that the road to Santa Elena was blocked by the police because of too much traffic. I then suggested to Mario that we improvise an alternative and that he give me a tour of the city. He masterfully adapted to the change of plans and gave me an INCREDIBLE spanish tour of the city center, the cable cars and comuna 13. This man truly knows his stuff, he is also funny and kind. I felt completely comfortable alone with him as a young woman. I learned lots about the transformations of the city, the social problems and the drug war, all the while tasting delicious free food in various establishments he brought me to. 100% would recommend. If you absolutely want to visit Santa Elena however, do not try to go the day before the parade.

Loved this beautiful farm & it’s history. - It was a great tour. The flower farm was beautiful and the owner was very proud to share the history of his generational trade. The tour guide was also great. The only wish is that it wasn’t so expensive @ $144.

Nice chance to learn about flower growing - Enjoyed this trip. Visited a flower farm and learned about Stilleteros. Beautiful and informative tour. Our guide, Albert, was amazing. The park was really just a drive through. Altogether about 4 hours.

Great view and interesting history - A great view of the small flower farm and interesting history of how the flowers and integrated into the "half chair" and all the growers have a parade 1 day every year in Medellin. Very proud and energetic owner who gave us a tour and his family's history growing the flowers and presenting them for awards. Getting to Santa Elena can be a nauseating experience on a tour bus because of all the turns and speed bumps in the road.

$120.00 for this? - I was quite disappointed in this tour. I use the term "tour" loosely as it was an incredibly brief walk on a small plot of land. The guide spoke exclusively in Spanish for about half an hour. It appeared that many of the Spanish speakers in attendance were entertained by the tour guide. There were some very beautiful flowers and photographs available. If this place were close by and only cost $5,oo or $10.00 USD, I might have been pleased, but $120.00 for something so simple and inconvenient (there is only one road leading into and out of the property so it was quite difficult to exit) leaves me feeling foolish for having paid so much for this.

Please don't spend your money. - The tour guide and he also a driver was terrible. He didn't know the directions. We got lost 4 times on the way there and on the way back. It was my Birthday. I had made a restaurant reservation later in this evening but we all ended up car sick and didn't make it on time to the restaurant. He got lost with driving and took almost 3 hours to get back to Medellin from the farm. Flower farm was just a house with a garden in their yards not a professional farm as we expected. The owner of the house was very nice and sweet.
