Fantastic private tour of Santa Elena!! - Luis was awesome!! He did a great job at translating Spanish to English as I went on the Santa Elena Silleteros tour with my wife and mother. We had a great time! We really enjoyed meeting Don Joaquin who was third generation of Silleteros and his wife. We liked learning about the Silleteros tradition, lifestyle, and history. Additionally, we enjoyed making a silleta and experienced wearing the traditional clothing and carrying the silleta. Luis provided us with a reliable vehicle that had AC which made comfortable ride from Medellin to Santa Elena where is was much cooler. I recommend taking a wind breaker or light jacket as the climate does change at higher elevation. Luis picked us up at my family’s house where we were staying a dropped us off near Comuna 13 were we wanted to walk around and shop. I highly recommend this tour with Luis he as fantastic and we had a great time with our guid Luis. Thank you for a wonderful tour and experience!! 👍🏼👍🏼

Santa Elena Tour- Silleteros - We loved this experience of learning about the preparation of a silletero for its participation in the festival in August. Don Joaquin showed us his crops and then showed us how to prepare and load the silletero of flowers...spectacular! The tour guide, Daniel, made the tour most pleasant for us with his knowledge of topics related to his country, very polite, responsible when driving, respectful, talkative and very friendly. We highly recommend this activity and if it is with Daniel, from Medellin City Services, you will enjoy it more!

Great experience with a great guide! - Really cool trip learning about the history of the silleteros with guide David and silletero “Nacho”! Very tranquil place that you don’t want to leave, and having the history explained in English is very helpful. David explains a lot about the history of the area and is knowledgable about all things Medellin - and thanks for the empanada!!

Loved this beautiful farm & it’s history. - It was a great tour. The flower farm was beautiful and the owner was very proud to share the history of his generational trade. The tour guide was also great. The only wish is that it wasn’t so expensive @ $144.

Nice chance to learn about flower growing - Enjoyed this trip. Visited a flower farm and learned about Stilleteros. Beautiful and informative tour. Our guide, Albert, was amazing. The park was really just a drive through. Altogether about 4 hours.

Great view and interesting history - A great view of the small flower farm and interesting history of how the flowers and integrated into the "half chair" and all the growers have a parade 1 day every year in Medellin. Very proud and energetic owner who gave us a tour and his family's history growing the flowers and presenting them for awards. Getting to Santa Elena can be a nauseating experience on a tour bus because of all the turns and speed bumps in the road.

Please don't spend your money. - The tour guide and he also a driver was terrible. He didn't know the directions. We got lost 4 times on the way there and on the way back. It was my Birthday. I had made a restaurant reservation later in this evening but we all ended up car sick and didn't make it on time to the restaurant. He got lost with driving and took almost 3 hours to get back to Medellin from the farm. Flower farm was just a house with a garden in their yards not a professional farm as we expected. The owner of the house was very nice and sweet.
