Fantastic snorkeling we recommend this business! - Fantastic afternoon! Gorgeous fish, very safe and friendly for our family. We saw a gorgeous sunset at the end of the trip. Our hosts were very friendly and we learned a lot about Costa Rica and the area! Definitely recommend!

Incrediable experience - Had a wonderful experience! Our captain Frank took us to a great snorkeling area and kept diving to find fishes/octopus for us! On our way back we saw a great view of sunset & thunderstorm at the same time and we ran away from the rain! The food was also great! Frank prepared lots of cold drinks(water, soda, beers etc.), fruits, chips and cookies!

Loved the afternoon snorkeling/golden hour! - Had a great time on the afternoon tour/golden hour. Frank and John Carlos did a great job taking care of our group of 9 (ages 11-50). Snorkeled at two spots that were beautiful, visited a private beach with a ton of hermit crabs, and had a amazing view of the sunset while we headed back enjoying delicious fruit and snacks they prepared for us.

Excellent tour - Fabulous trip with great hosts - was travelling with my wife and 13 year old daughter. We saw lobster, puffer-fish, star fish, all manner of reef fish on a 3.5 hour, 2 stop trip. Snorkel gear was top quality. Couldn’t have asked for more. Thoroughly recommended

Awesome Snorkeling trip - We had a great day on the water with captain frank. Awesome guacamole and pineapple. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. My girls really enjoyed jumping off the boat. Would definitely recommend Captain Frank

Fantastic snorkeling tour! - We had a great afternoon/sunset snorkeling tour with Frank & Andy today. We went to 2 snorkeling spots and saw many beautiful fish and a ray. Frank is fun and easy going. Andy snorkeled with us. Overall awesome afternoon. Ended with fresh pineapple & fried plantain with guacamole. Highly recommend!

Great Experience - The Pura Vida Snorkeling team was great and went out of their way to make sure that we had a good time. They adapted the trip to meet our wishes and even sparked some energy into the afternoon. The food and refreshments was delicious and well received. Definitely recommend a tour with Pura Vida Snorkeling.

No call, no show, absolute scam of a company - My wife and I always enjoy the sunset tours when we travel. In fact, it’s usually the highlight of our trip. We found this company on Viator and booked it. We drove 1.5 hours to the meetup spot (see picture above). We were 15 min early and saw other charter companies loading their customers. We were left waiting with no tour operator from Pura Vida Snorkeling. About 5 min before the meetup time, with all other charters having left, I started to call the company phone number. It would ring once and disconnect immediately. I sent them numerous messages on the viator app, asking if they were showing up and if they could please contact us. We got no reply. I sent them an email to their business email and a message on their Instagram page. We got no correspondence from the company. 30 minutes after the meetup time, we contacted Viator (who were and have always been phenomenal to work with). Viator confirmed we had successfully booked and we were in the correct spot. They tried reaching out to the company and were unable to contact anyone either. They apologized for the inconvenience and said they would request a refund from the tour company. As of the time of this review, we still have never heard back from Pura Vida Snorkeling, which based on them not having a working phone number, I believe is a fraudulent company. They definitely accepted our payment and took our money. The company never even refunded the money to us. We had to follow up with Viator and Viator refunded us the money when we were back home. TLDR: Pura Vida Snorkeling no call and no showed. Took our money and never reached back out to us after numerous messages and calls. Scam of a company. We ended up going on another tour at a different area the next day and it was wonderful. Avoid booking with this company!
