Sunset, sundowners, stars and planets in high clear air - Night Skies Tenerife provided an excellent excursion starting late afternoon and ending back at our hotel before midnight. The coach stopped at several convenient pick-up points in South West Tenerife and took us up the hills to watch the sun setting into the sea beyond the three Western Canary Islands. Plenty of time for photos with a glass of cold cava each. Then further up into the old crater of Mount Tiede and a reasonable dinner at Restaurant Bambi. After dinner, the two experienced and knowledgeable English-speaking guides and their two assistants had set up four proper telescopes in the car park for amazing star gazing in crystal clear skies with no light pollution. Great to be with guides keen to share their extensive knowledge.

Very friendly and Knowledgeable about the area - Would just like to give a big shout out to Claire at First excursions in Las Americas. She was absolutely brilliant with us when we booked several excursions, shows and trips. This is our first time in Tenerife so she even gave us recommendations on restaurants and different things around our hotel. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

This is an amazing experience, worth every penny. - I highly recommend this excellent experience, everything was great, the coach trip humour, the meal, the watching sunset from above the clouds and of course the stargazing! The guide was incredibly informative, used high end telescopes, helped our phones track stars, great personality shone through his humour. All I can say is take some warm clothes for when you’re at the top of Teidi. Get ready for what you’re about to see! It’s amazing!

Fantastic quality staff - Couldn't recommend more. Went in to chat with Lorena in Las Americas. She was beyond helpful not only with booking excursions but with recommendations locally. She explained everything so well giving us so many options and even gave us a number to ring if we needed any help after we left. She was super and I'd highly recommend going in for a chat before booking anything

Great star-looking trip - The guide was clear on the kva that was anticipated by us and the kva that venta us. To get all the information given in English, it requires better language English skills than we have. Good if they could talk at a slower pace. Dinner was cubicle throwing one. Vegetarian consisted of salad leaves, lots of yellow onions and potatoes. Plus a small bowl of bean soup. The potatoes were very good. Chicken and pigs that were also the option looked quite dry out. The dinner did not meet the expectations. Recommend to be out in very good time before the trip regarding the choice of pick up point or assure cabin that they will be picked up at the agreed place. Apart from this, the sunset and watching the stars, the planet and the moon was a great experience.

Disappointing trip - We have been going to Tenerife for over 20yrs twice/ three times a year never been up Mount Tiede this was the year went to First Tenerife after following Matt . We met Richie lovley lad but rather misled us told him I wanted visit Tiede he talked us into the stargazing tour we were led to believe mini bus small numbers but actually 52 seater coach turned up the whole experiance was dreadful!!! Already reviewed on this, we went back i to First Tenerife next day to a lovley lady who I sincerly apologise name evades me (awful cos she was so lovley) it was day of yr xmas night out! she sorted a €50 refund from first tenerife ( Keiran night skies no chance) thank you cant describe how disappointed we were with this trip, we are back in May with our 2 grandaughters (16/ 18) who want to jet ski, paraglide and sail the seas we will defo be back to First Tenerife Excursions but Richie no disrespect maybe listen to what your custmers really want date of travel 12th - 19th Dec

Don’t take the 2 hour unnecessary bus ride - Never was it said we would have to ride a coach for an extra two hours when picking us up at hotel. Some people met at restaurant which than they did not have to endure wasted vacation time on a bus. If told in advance we could have taken the 15 minute taxi and saved 2-2 1/2 hour on a bus. I could go on however it’s done and mother can do about it. History 👎🏻😠

A really poor experience - Dreadful experience. We spent two and a half hours on the coach only to be told that the opportunity to take sunset pictures had been cancelled due to adverse weather. We travelled on to the restaurant. I can only assume the restaurant opened specifically for our party. It was cold, and we sat eating without removing jackets - it was too cold. The food was of “school dinner” quality. When we finally arrived at the site to observe the stars, we would see that the temperature outside was 3 degrees. Factoring in the wind chill (it was windy!) meant the actual temperature felt like minus 10. We didn’t even have the option to get warm on the bus, since the driver switched off the engine & there was no heat until we started our return journey. Overall? If you want to spend hours on a coach with short breaks for a very average dinner and some star-gazing in the freezing cold? You might enjoy this. Otherwise? Avoid like the plague!
