Highlights
- Santa Barbara Downtown - Spend some time with us learning about Santa Barbara’s rich Mexican and Spanish Heritage while dining on some Tacos, sipping on drinks and more in downtown Santa Barbara. There are THREE alcoholic beverages included and 3 non alcoholic beverages. Don’t want to drink alcohol? Not old enough? Cool, there are non alcohol drinks options available at every location.
3.5ish hours walking in downtown Santa Barbara, learning about some of interesting history and of course eat. We have a variety of tacos and drinks from some of our favorite local restaurants. Both alcoholic and non alcoholic options available. Please note, there is one bar on the tour, if there is someone under 21 they will have to stand outside the perimeter.

- Queso Birria Taco, Potato Taquito and cocktail - Start your tour off on the right foot and get a delicious queso birria taco, potato taquito and a drink…
- Margarita! - Take a break between tacos and enjoy a strawberry marg and some nosh (chips and salsa)
- Crunchy Taco Time - Some like them crunchy, some like them soft, you get them both on this tour!
- Street Tacos and Marg - Street tacos paired with a marg at one of our fave downtown dive bars! Under 21? Sorry, you have to stay outside.
- Fish Taco - Fabulous fried fish taco! Don’t like fish? No problem, we have a meat and a vegetarian option available.
Additional Information
- Food allergies/restrictions - we do our best to accommodate, please alert us ahead of time. but we must know about them ahead of time and we will do the best we can. Cannot guarantee no cross contamination.
- Health or mobility issues in your group? Please consider a private tour experience so we can better cater to your needs.
- Animals - we do not suggest brining animals on tours as we cannot guarantee outside seating. If a furry friend has to come & seating is indoors, please be prepared to stay outside with them. Please contact us in advance if an issue arises and a furry friend has to accompany you.
- Kids - we have kids and love them. You know your kids best, if you think they will do well on the tour. If small children are crying or distracting we do request guardians to step outside. Please note, owner has 2 small kids and does not bring them on tours even though they are cute.
- Tours do not start and end in the same location.
- Please feel free to bring a bottle of water.
- We do not recommended public facing tours for guests who have health or mobility complications - we can create a private tour to fit your needs!

Tacos - Tacos were very good, the Birria and fish especially. There was a nice hibiscus margarita as well and the guide was social and nice as well.

Excellent experience! - We had Nancy as our tour guide and we loved the whole experience! We learned a lot about SB, saw a lot of new places (including the amazing court house), and had some delicious food and drinks!! Definitely coming back to do this again!

Highly Recommend This Fun and Delicious Tour - Our tour guide Nancy was THE BEST! We had such a great time on the tour and it included visiting some of the historic sites in Santa Barbara. The food selection was delicious (COME HUNGRY TO THIS TOUR) and Nancy was so much fun and so gracious. We had my elderly mother with us so Nancy made sure to pace things out slowly and take breaks throughout the tour. 100% recommend but be warned to wear comfortable shoes and come hungry.

Great Great Tour - This was a fabulous tour. I am a local and still learned things about SB history. Each of our stops served superb food and drinks in abundance. I thought we would just have small tastes of food but we had full sized margaritas(3 of them) and full sized tacos. Our guide, Nancy, was informative and great to chat with. I recommend this tour with great enthusiasm and look forward to doing anothet.

Fun and Tasty - Fun fun fun! Come Hungary!!! Great thing to do with adult children. Very accommodating hosts! Great variety of tacos, salsas and margaritas! Perfect ending with churros and horchata! And even learned a bit of Santa Barbara history.

Tacos, History and Fun - This tour was amazing, delicious and so informative! Even as a local I found myself learning new things about the history of SB, and more importantly eating tacos at places I’d never been to but will absolutely return to in the future. This is such a fun way to get to know the city!

Fun Eating & Drinking Tour - Our guide, Nancy, was wonderful! She did a really good job making sure that the 3 of us in our group got the type of drinks that we preferred and that we liked our tacos and sauces. She gave us lots of information about the history of the places that we walked to. We all had a fun time and we definitely had more than enough to eat and drink. We would recommend Taste Santa Barbara Food Tours to anyone looking to have for a relaxing afternoon walking around town and eating.

Taco bout a great tour! - We went on the taco and drinks tour on Saturday afternoon and had Nancy as our guide. She is an absolute delight, mingling humor and history as we walked around downtown SB. We were definitely full by the end after consuming so many delicious tacos and margaritas. I also dare you to not eat all the chips and salsa at the first stop even though Nancy warns you to save your appetite for the rest of the tour. I loved that the tour ended with a sweet treat -- churros. I definitely recommend this tour for locals or tourists as a great way to showcase Santa Barbara and its food while learning something new. If you love tacos, take this tour, you won't regret it!
