Highlights
  • Tradition Sailing Charters - Enjoy a “once in a lifetime experience” sailing onboard a historical and traditionally rigged, Classic West Indian Sloop. Tradition, built in 1978 to sail cargo up and down the Lesser Antilles, Caribbean (including smuggling rum!), is one of the last surviving vessels of her kind.

The Captain will pick you up on the small wooden dock in Sandy Ground, and transfer you to Tradition. Once onboard, sip on Mimosas and freshly squeezed Orange Juice while the Captain gives a short history of Tradition and a safety briefing.

Then the crew will raise the sails while you enjoy a delightful 1-1.5 hour sail to the gorgeous and secluded Little Bay. The captain and crew are always happy to show you the ropes, if you’d like to participate in the sailing.

  • Little Bay - Once at anchor in Little Bay, spend the next hour exploring the delightful marine life, including turtles and stingrays, using the complimentary snorkel gear and swim aids. Swim to the beach, jump off the famous Little Bay Rock, or simply, relax on the boat’s shaded deck enjoying a cold beer, chilled glass of wine, rum punch, or your favorite beverage.

Once you work up your appetite, feast on a delicious onboard picnic of fresh Caribbean Lobster Rolls, Greek Salad, Cassava Chips, Watermelon, and Cookies. After lunch and great conversation with the crew and other guests, enjoy a brief post-lunch swim before sailing back to Sandy Ground.

This all-inclusive adventure includes a fully stocked cooler with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, snorkeling gear, swim aids, a delicious lunch, and an authentic sailing experience onboard the last surviving sail-trading vessel of its kind.

Amazing Experience with Tradition Sailing - We are visiting for the fourth straight year and had our first sail with #TraditionSailing yesterday! It was fantastic — beyond our expectations. Thomas, Deb and Laurie are an amazing crew, and super knowledgeable hosts. A perfect day! We booked half-day sail and went to Little Bay where we swam with sea turtles and had an amazing lunch of lobster sandwiches and salad. We highly recommend making a trip with Tradition part of your Anguilla experience, and next year hope to book the full day sail to Prickly Pear! Thank you Thomas, Deb and Laurie!

Amazing Day Trip - Fabulous trip! The crew was very friendly and attentive. We learned a lot about Anguilla and sailing on their beautiful boat. At one point, my fiancé and I decided to jump off the rock at Little Bay and the crew took photos/videos for us unexpectedly to capture the moment. Also the food…amazing! I highly recommend.

Best Boating in Anguilla - I’m sooooo glad we did this and not charter a private boat. It was way safer bc the captain and crew REALLY know their stuff and cared about the clients. We met amazing people and it was so peaceful on a sailing boat and not a loud motor boat. You got to learn soooo much from the crew and captain. This was the highlight of our trip. Good food, good people, peaceful, fascinating experience. They really took care of us and educated us about sailing in Anguilla and Caribbean for hundreds of years. It was an EPIC experience.

Best ever experience! Beautiful vessel - Let me tell you if you ever are in Anguilla, RUN to do this. Both hubby and I suffer from seasickness, but we slapped a seasick patch on and went. We never been on this type of a vessel. They crew was soooo welcoming and professional. We felt so safe and cared for. The vessel was beautiful. The food, ohhhh the lobster rolls, were the BEST I EVER HAD. Chunks of fresh lobster and dill....I mean, it was a 5 star lunch, with plenty of liberations ! Whatever you want, they had it. I can't thank them enough for this opportunity. We are still talking about this being the best part of birthday trip. Being a Florida girl by way of Bahamas, Anguilla has some of the most beautiful waters ever. Please don't miss this excursion!!
