Great guide and tour - Banele went out of his way to make me feel comfortable and to give a thorough and informative tour of key areas of Johannesburg. The sites we visited were all very interesting and Banele's knowledge made it a very enjoyable experience.

Amazing tour experience! - We went into this tour with very minimal expectations and we came back amazingly impressed with everything we saw and learned with our guide Mo. He was very knowledgeable, fun, and kind and we appreciate his honesty and how open he was about sharing his story with us. He said at the beginning of the tour; “I’ll show you the good, the bad, and the ugly” and he delivered. Do yourself a favor and take this tour!

Amazing...beyond expectations. - WOW! Amazing service. Steve was amazing and very flexible when we had to change our plans. We arranged transfers from JNB to Mabula and found our wonderful driver Tsholo with great ease. A pleasant drive with convenient comfort stop en route and much information given about South Africa en route. After our safari break, we were collected promptly, with no delays and dropped to our JNB hotel. The following day Nosipho collected us for our private Ultimate Johannesburg trip. To say she was phenomenal is an understatement. The tour was flexible and relevant to the needs of two adults and a 12 and 14 year old. Made interesting, sharing experiences and being a resident of Soweto all added to our awesome day out. Initially hesitant of a tour of J'burg, we are soooo glad to have used Stephenson Adventures as extremely professional, reliable and accommodation with fantastic communication and clean, well maintained vehicles for all our trips. Excellent tour of Johannesburg and Soweto - We were picked up at our hotel in Pretoria for a full-day tour of Johannesburg and Soweto. Our guide Tsholo made sure to show us the very diverse character of the city of Jo‘burg: modern Mandela Square, Constitution Hill, Braamfontein and Soweto with Regina Mundi Church,Hector Pieterson Memorial, Mandela House and Apartheid Museum. The guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and experienced in showing around tourists and we felt very well taken care of. Thank you for an excellent introduction to our time in SA!

The tour provides a holistic view of Johannesburg, bridging the gap between its historical roots and its contemporary situation and challenges. Watching the city from inside the car, you gain a deeper appreciation for the city’s resilience and challenges. Especially visiting Soweto with Mo, our great tour guide, was an unforgettable experience because he could show us local reality in a safe environment and not postcards for tourists. I can recommend that to anyone who wants to experience unfiltered local reality - the rich and the poor.

First class - Our tour on February 22nd was excellent. From the moment we booked to the end of the tour we were impressed. Our guide Benale was excellent. He was both friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic & extremely professional. We didn’t realise when we booked it would be just us and our guide in a private car. It was an excellent way to see Johannesburg. We came away having a better understanding of the city and what people have had to endure.
