Unforgettable Day with Benjamin – A Perfect Private Tour of Boquerón & San Salvador! - If you’re looking for a personalized, insightful, and memorable experience in El Salvador, book a tour with Benjamin. Our day exploring Boquerón Volcano and San Salvador was the best decision I made for a long layover. From the very start, Benjamin made the tour feel like a personalized adventure. He asked me about my interests in order to build the tour around making sure I was satisfied. One of the unexpected highlights was bird watching on the way up the volcano. Benjamin brought his telescope and helped us spot some local species. His knowledge of the region’s flora, fauna, and history is impressive, and he shares it in a way that’s engaging and easy to connect with. It was impressive and very impactful to see his deep appreciation for nature. Throughout the day, I felt immersed not only in the beauty of the landscapes but also in the rich culture of El Salvador. From conversations about the country’s history to learning about local plants and traditions, Benjamin made every moment meaningful. We started our food journey with fresh street mangos (so sweet!) and later enjoyed delicious seafood and two types of pupusas, each more delicious than the last. This wasn’t just a tour. It was an authentic experience and I admire Benjamin’s passion for his country and vast knowledge. I left feeling enriched, connected, and already planning when I can come back for a longer trip.

Perfect Tour for a Layover - I enjoyed my experience on this tour. It was a great way to spend my layover before heading to my next destination. Alfredo is a wealth of knowledge and a pleasure to tour with. His passion and love for El Salvador shines through. I enjoyed learning more about the history and culture while seeing the city and experiencing El Boqueron. The hike was great and I liked learning about various plants along the way to the volcano. Seeing the crater was awesome. I highly recommend this tour with Alfredo.

Short travel experience in San Salvador and surrounding places. - An interesting tour given by Guide Alfredo Díaz to the historic center of San Salvador that included the most emblematic places and their history. The visit to the new National Library and the Cathedral of San Salvador was pleasant, the crypt of it was open. Due to the huge number of vehicles heading towards El Boquerón, we chose to visit Santa Tecla and taste Salvadoran food at Merlioth Market. It was a pleasant experience to tour the Salvadoran capital during an excellent day.

Great way to spend a layover! - I had a long layover in San Salvador and am so glad I decided to do this tour! My guide, Alfredo, drove us to see the city plazas and then to the El Boqueron National Park to see the volcano. He always had great explanations for the things we were seeing and was very knowledgeable about the area. We even had time to stop to eat some pupusas before heading back to the airport, which were delicious! Thanks Alfredo for being such a great guide! I definitely recommend this if you have some time between your flights.

Great tour for a long layover! - The layover tour of the city and the Boquerón volcano is a wonderful experience. The company expedited our migrations paperwork (and saved us the $12 fee) and we were quickly out on tour. Our guide/driver Alfredo was excellent. We got to see the sights and I even got a great haircut for $2! The pupusas stopover at Olucuilta was a delicious end to an amazing day. My only suggestion would be to go to el Boquerón first, particularly on a Sunday morning, because later in the day it gets very busy.

Highly recommend this! - From the moment we landed, we were breezed through customs by the stopover tour folks. Our tour guide, Cesar quickly swooped us up right outside and took us straight to a strip of pupuserias where we were able to enjoy some of the traditional local food (yum) then onto El Boqueron, which was stunning, and down back into downtown San Salvador. A lively city with a lot of history and a lot of action! Id most definitely recommend this tour for anyone with an extended layover.

Great layover - The whole process to get us through immigration fast worked well. We met our driver/guide Irving as we exited and we were on our way. Spent the morning learning about the town and taking a short hike up the volcano.
