Suchitoto - A visit to Suchitoto is a must-see!! A colonial city with a lot of history and culture. We were there with the local company and with driver Léo and guide Stanley, and the experience couldn’t have been better. We visited the city, the museum and went to a local añil workshop. An amazing tour with wonderful people!!

Unforgettable Day Trip to Suchitoto and San Salvador - This was our first trip to San Salvador and I wanted a tour that also includes something outside the big city. Suchitoto actually became the highlight of our short trip to El Salvador: a very colonial town with a very pretty church and an amazing lunch at Casa 1800 with its fantastic view of the lake. Traffic in San Salvador is insane but we managed to see the highlights of the historic city center. Thanks to Adonis Gamez who was our guide/driver - he provided a safe journey and imparted knowledge about his country and the places we were visiting. Highly recommend!

An exceptional guide to discover the real El Salvador - I did the Suchitoto and San Salvador tour with Alfredo Díaz, and he was an outstanding guide. You can tell he truly knows and loves his country — every story, detail, and stop came to life through his explanations. Super professional, friendly, and patient. I learned so much and had a great time — 100% recommended!

This is a good... - This is a good introduction to the north of El Salvador and the Centro Histórico of San Salvador. We were a small group of 5 total, driven by Omar and guided by Adonis. There was a lot of construction in Suchi which made it a little difficult to walk around the city and see it at its best. Only after the tour did I re-review the itinerary and realize that we did not stop by Casa 1800, which is even mentioned in Lonely planet for its view of the lake. We were only able to see a sliver of the lake from the city. I don’t know if this was due to time constraints but I would have preferred getting the view of the lake instead of the 25 minutes free time in Suchi. After driving back to San Salvador, there was free time for lunch, followed by a tour of the centro histórico. We were about to leave the cathedral when I asked about visiting the crypt, where Oscar Romero is interred. After the tour, I realized that we did not go to Iglesia El Rosario - I ended up going on my own the next day. This is a beautiful and unique church, so it was a disappointment not to have gone in the tour. I’m not sure why it was excluded; we spent more time than necessary at the library and could easily have used the time to walk the few blocks over to the church. There was quite a bit of traffic getting around all day as the tour was on a Friday, so bring your patience, water, and good walking shoes.
