Mac and Salvador are hidden gems of Central America!! - During our recent trip to Central America we had a privilege to meet and interact with Mac, the best tour guide I have ever interacted in my last 12years of travel around the world covering 71 countries. It all started 2 weeks before our trip, without much knowledge on what Salvador can offer to a group of 6 young men on a trip to Central America, we contacted Mac through a friend’s reference. He gave us a detailed trip itinerary which made us feel so safe and excited. Salvador is a gem and we had our first hand experience after visiting this unique country with Mac’s guidance and professional & detailed knowledge about the geography. Mac knows everything and he will be the safest person to fall back for any America’s adventure if you like. We approached him for Salvador tour and ended up taking him for Guatemala as well. Mac is passionate about his job and he also does a good outreach cause to his local society, he has adopted a school in his home town and teaches English to young kids. I feel part of his income goes to upbringing his local society and fellow young citizens. Great work mate and keep going. We will for sure engage you for our next tour to Latin America until then bye from all of us. Mac & Us in Salvador : Airport transfer, city tour and tasty Pupusas on day 1 and day 2 to Boqueron Volcano, Joya De Cerén, Crater Lake Coatepeque. Mac knows everyone in the places that we visited so it feels so safe and people of Salvador were so friendly and thy always greeted us with a smile. Mac & Us in Guatemala : Coach station transfer, Guatemala City tour, night trek to Volcano Pacaya, Antigua Guatemala and lake Atitalan. It was a 3days trip with international border crossing between Salvador and Guatemala in PANAM highway. A life time experience.

Mac is a first-rate tour guide! - A million thanks to Mac for sharing his beautiful country of El Salvador with us! We have been twice to San Salvador and simply had to request Mac the 2nd time as well. He has a wealth of information about the rich history of his country to share with us. We have been fortunate to travel around El Salvador with Mac, and will definitely do so again! Thanks, Mac!

Mac is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly - We had a great day touring San Salvador, Santa Ana, and the crater lake Lago de Coatepeque. Some of our original plans fell through due to weather closures, but Mac was extremely flexible and had numerous options for alternative itineraries. We felt extremely safe throughout the entire tour, in both rural and urban areas. Highly recommended!

Day Tours San Salvador and Suchitoto - During our stay in San Salvador we had the pleasure to spend two days with Maya Triangle Tours. On our first day we did the San Salvador City and Volcano Tour with Mac. He was a great guide and showed us not only the city center but also a few other neighborhoods to provide us a better impression of the city. In the city center we visited the palacio nacional and la iglesia rosario. Especially this is part was very interesting as it is not that easy/safe to enter the center on its own. The trip to el boquerón is impressive as it provides you with views of the old crater and the city. The following day we spent with Guillermo in Suchitoto. First he showed us the beautiful colonial city and the local market and afterwards we went on a boat trip (1 hour, 30$) to la isla de los pajaros. From the lake we enjoyed wonderful views of the surrounding mountains and watched some local birds on the little islands. Both guides, Mac and Guillermo, were very friendly and told us a lot of interesting facts about the history and the current situation of El Salvador. We enjoyed the two days a lot and we would recommend everyone to discover this amazing country with Maya Triangle Tours.
