Worthwhile Tour - This is a very informative tour, and our guide, Cecilia, is very knowledgeable regarding the process of producing these wonderful products. The experience was well worth the investment of time. Tasting the goods was also a great highlight as we were getting hungry during the tour. I highly recommend this if you are a foodie or interested in the way these products are made. It is very interesting. Thank you Cecilia.

A memorable visit to a flavorful Parma - We did two days tour with Michelle. The first day was on Parmigiano Reggiano and Prosciutto, and another day was the food walking tour within Parma (We also asked her to add balsamic vinegar tour at the end of the second day). Michelle was amazing in explaining history, the process of making the products, and culture in a very detail-oriented manner. So both days were very insightful and fun. For the food walking tour, be prepared for the flavorful tastings, and please skip your breakfast before the tour as you will taste so many things!

Wonderful tour seeing and tasting the process for Parma ham and Parmesano reggiano cheese - Tour as described was close to 6.5 hr. Cecilia was the tour guide. She was very passionate about details as she grew up in the area and her father was a cheese maker. We chose to use our own transportation so we could drive on from our last stop.

Amazing tour of Parma with cheese and ham - Beatrice was an outstanding guide. She was obviously passionate about the locations and products she showed us and was great at giving information, answering questions and showing us the process. Seeing the cheese made and walking through each step was amazing and the same for the Parma ham. Guido our driver did a wonderful job maneuvering through the fog and even though we couldn’t see the lovely landscapes and castle due to the fog we have a wonderful tour and I would recommend to anyone. We also tried a sandwich shop she mentioned after the tour and it was delicious.

Food and wine tour around Parma (dairy and ham factory) - Wonderful experience at Coduro dairy and Conti ham factory. We spent a half day in the surroundings of Parma to discover live the processing of Parmigiano Reggiano and Parma Ham. I congratulate our guide Michelle, especially for her great availability, clarity, but above all competence. An absolutely recommended tour to experience and learn about one of the most important food and wine in the world!

Once in a Lifetime Tour! - This tour was a highlight of our trip to Emilia-Romagna. Michelle picked us up from our hotel in Parma and our first stop was a small, independent producer of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. We got to see so many steps of the cheese making process up close! At first I had wondered why we needed to make such an early start to the day, but Michelle timing it perfectly so that we could see everything (from the boiling of the milk and separating the curds, to forming the wheels). We even got to help “turn” the curds to release them from the bottom of the copper vat. Next we got to taste 12, 24, 30, and 36 month Parmigiano Reggiano. Michelle is level 2 certified taster and thoughtfully walked us through the tastings, pointing out the nuances of each cheese’s aromas, textures, and flavors. So fun! Our second stop was a “salumifico” in Langhirano. I loved that this was another small family run business, this one woman owned and operated. Michelle was so knowledgeable about the whole process of making Prosciutto di Parma and walked us through the facility. So cool to see — although I wouldn’t recommend for my vegetarian friends. :) We ended with another great tasting — this time with a little glass of local wine, too. I truly cannot recommend Artemilia more highly. This truly felt like a once in a lifetime experience. Such a fun and special day.
