Amazing local experience! - It was an amazing experience! We walked through the coffee farm and learned about the process from a local farmer and learned about other plants along the way. We also learned about the culture of coffee. Afterwards we went to their home and watched as they made a fresh pot of coffee from start to finish. The family was so welcoming and provided coffee and some biscuits. We loved how local it felt and that the proceeds of the coffee we bought went directly to the farmer. Our guide walked us back to the meeting point and made sure we got into our taxi safely before leaving. Highly recommend!

A memorable coffee journey - I had a delightful and intellectual half-day tour with Axel and Marta a. We visited a coffee plantation at the foothills of Agua Volcano, where we learned about the cultivation of coffee beans. Afterwards, we went to Marta's home to experience the traditional coffee roasting process and enjoyed a pot of coffee that we roasted ourselves. The entire tour was very enjoyable, and Axel and Marta were incredibly warm and knowledgeable. I highly recommend it to travelers visiting Antigua!

Tremendous Experience, Would Recommend - I had a really tremendous experience. Both the farmer and guide/translator (Axel) were very informative and allowed me to understand in detail the coffee growing and processing process. Would highly recommend to all those interested in coffee and learning more about its influence on Guatemalan history/those looking for an experience in the Antigua area.

Fantastic coffee farm tour! - Delmy Santavi was a fantastic tour guide. Throughout the tour she not only interpreted for our coffee farmer, Cristobal, she also pointed cultural touch points that made the excursion more meaningful! I thoroughly enjoyed learning about the farm to coffee pot experience for the small family farmers. It makes me appreciate my coffee that much more!

10/10 recommend for deep cultural learning - Honestly this was one of the coolest, most in depth and personal cultural experiences I’ve had! You meet your guide and you go on a small hike (it’s uphill so wear good shoes) to the farm. You get 1:1 time with the farmer to dig into all types of questions. You conclude the tour in his home, roasting coffee, sharing stories, and learning about his passion and dedication to quality. I couldn’t have asked for a better tour and if you’re looking for deep cultural immersion, this is it. Axel, thank you for your service and dedication to unique and special tourist experiences!!

Fun, informative, and tasty! - I am a huge coffee lover, and considering Guatemalan coffee is one of the best coffees out there. I was excited to learn about the process going from plant to beverage. The tour started out in the afternoon with a short walk up to a coffee farm and plantation where I learned all about the growing process, maturing, and harvesting of the crop. After that, we walked to the farmer house, where we went through the steps of sorting, roasting, grinding, and making one of the best cups of coffee I’ve ever had. My tour guide was Axel, and he was friendly, informative, and punctual. I recommend this trip for anyone that loves coffee and it would be good for solo, travelers or small groups. Though I think young children would probably not be super interested in it. I also bought two bags of coffee to bring home because it was so delicious.

Authentic, wonderful experience, 100% recommended! - If you want to have an authentic guatemalan experience this tour is what you need! We got to know a lot about Coffee itself and about Coffee in Guatemala, but also the guide explaned a lot of other different interesting things about the country. He was open to every question and in a very good mood. Axel was one of the best guides I’ve ever had! He made this experience precious. Also it was so interesting to see a real coffee farmer and her way of working. We rosted coffeebeans and then we drank the selfmade coffee with local cookies.
