Exciting adventure with a helpful tour guide - Our tour guide, Antonio (Tony), was extremely friendly and helpful. He took us right to our vehicles, showed us a map, and explained everything that was going to happen along the way. We enjoyed every stop that we made on our tour, but I must say that our tour stops were not exactly as stated in the description. In general though, the spirit of what we were hoping to experience was certainly met! -We rode to a small town "El Cedral" in the Jeeps (about a 30 minute ride on the highway). We had seven in our party, so we needed two Jeeps: one Jeep was covered and pumped cold A/C, with an automatic transmission. The other was totally open, with a six-speed. I think Tony intended that he would drive the stick shift vehicle, but my kids wanted to ride in the open, so I volunteered to drive it instead. -We took an ATV into the jungle to see the Cenote - this was very cool. My kids were not expecting the chance to ride the ATV and they were overjoyed to dive into the cenote -We rode to a beach ecological park Ponta Sur - about a 15 minute ride on the highway. -Due to time, we had to skip the tequila tour (OK by us, since we do not drink tequila), so we rode 45 minutes on the highway to the beach club, "Coco," where we had a delicious lunch and then had a chance to snorkel. The beach club was great because it had nice amenities to change and leave our belongings. -Finally, we rode back to the port (about 25 minutes on the highway) The itinerary listed in the description seems WAY too ambitious to complete all the stops because there is considerable driving time required between each of the locations. I would estimate we drove for at least 90 total minutes on our round-trip. Fortunately, the tour is truly customizable and can be modified as needed. Tony, our guide, was just so helpful and friendly. I felt like he worked hard to ensure we had a very pleasant and relaxing time. We had my 70+ year-old mom and dad in our group and he looked out for them like his own family, even hugging my mom at the end of the day. This was a great adventure and many memories were made for our multi-generational group.

A really fun day - This excursion was the highlight of our trip to Cozumel. All of the activities were fun and it was great to see so much in one day. Our guide was kind and helpful. Our kids loved the ATVs and we all had fun jumping into the cenote. Yes it smells and there are bats but they stay away from you and the smell is not that bad. The beach was gorgeous and we saw crocodiles and flamingos! Snorkeling was also fun, we saw a few fish we hadn’t seen before. Every stop is a sale, however. Our guide never tried to sell us anything, but the companies they contract with sell pretty hard. 1. A guy follows you through the ATV and cenote taking pics with a go pro to sell you. 2. There are shops at the lighthouse beach, and everything is over priced. 3. The tequila, chocolate and tortilla tasting is fun. But our kids were so hungry at that point. No snacks for sale, but lots of other stuff. We did not buy the tequila at the advice of other reviewers. But my daughter spent her own money ($10 US dollars) on the homemade Mexican candy they let her try, only to find it wasn’t at all what she tried when she brought it home. Gross. Same story with the tequila based on other reviews. 4. The included lunch is good, but drinks (including water) at that restaurant are quite expensive. It was $38 USD for us to have bottles of water with our lunch. Overall we certainly recommend this excursion, but be cautious of the sales at every stop.

Awesome Guide and experience - The guide Wachee (his nickname) was the best! Hang loose, Wachee! He shared so much information, made a plan for our day with our input (to work with our wants and what we could do), and just made it an amazing day for our entire family. The Cenote is beautiful, the boys held an iguana, we saw much of the island, had time on the beach, had really good snorkeling. The day was smooth and we can't thank our guide enough.

Great guide, great tour - Tour guide was on time, was absolutely delightful and very knowledgeable. I can’t remember her name, she is married to Carlos and has been doing jeep tours for 12 years. The Jade Caverns Cenote were a great experience and very glad she was driving. Lunch was pleasant, Tequila tasting and informative class was good and tasty. Thank you for taking care of us for the day. We unfortunately didn’t do all the activities on the itinerary like the chocolate making, beach clubs or snorkeling, but what we did do was a great time.

Beautiful scenery with expectations to spend money on overpriced goods - Scenery and culture was the highlight. The guide was knowledgeable and very nice. Please know that each stop is someone trying to hustle and sell you something , from overpriced merchandise and food/drinks to alcohol and chocolates. It’s you want a hassle free excursion but beautiful scenery this probably isn’t for you. If you want beautiful scenery and wasting a lot of your money then this is the execution for you. The guide was very cautious of our safety the whole trip so we felt very comfortable.

Beautiful island tour could be improved with better communication and transparency - We enjoyed the tour overall, though Communication could have been much improved. The tour ad lists over a dozen possible stops, many of which are catered to cruise passengers. We were staying on the island so didn’t need to stop at a beach club, for instance. We exchanged several messages and had a phone conversation to confirm customization of the tour. Despite this, - first and most important, the water in the Jade Cavern is now stagnant, not suitable for swimming, and no longer jade blue as in the photos, due to damage from a recent hurricane. It was still worth the visit, but since it is in the title of the tour, this should be communicated by ALL the tour companies. We were not informed of this essential fact until we arrived at the site. - we stopped at the tourist shops in El Cedral twice, before and after the Cenote / Jade Cavern. This ate up nearly an hour of our day. - our request to stop at the Punta Sur Eco Park was ignored (we had said we would not take the lagoon tour, which is extra anyway, but had repeatedly asked to see the lighthouse) - we stopped for a drink at a beach snack bar on the east coast merely 20 minutes before we stopped at a similar place for lunch. There was no reason for adding a second stop so close together (drinks were not included at either stop, only lunch at the second stop) - we asked for the chocolate tour as a substitute for the tequila tasting. We stopped at the Mayan Chocolate Company, but the tour company did not reserve in advance and the tours were full. The highlight of the trip was the Mayan Ruin at San Gervasio. Note that all fees and the guide at this site are not included and highly recommended. The Cenote was interesting but not what we expected.. Views of the island and sea were of course beautiful.

Disappointed - We were emailed 30 minutes before the excursion and told that they over booked their jeep tours And asked if we would do a buggy tour instead. we said we would check it out when we got there. they confirmed that we were on the buggy tour, however, we waited an hour for our tour guide to arrive. Finally they reassigned our tour guide. The buggy ended up being very very loud and the exhaust was extremely bad and it was a very rough ride. They initially said that the buggy could not go to the cynote which was why we booked the tour to begin with. But then they said we could go. We enjoyed the cynote and the stops along the coast. The other big draw for this trip was that we could go Snorkeling and that snorkeling equipment was provided. However once we were on the trip our guide said that there was no snorkeling equipment. We could have easily brought our own snorkeling equipment as we had it on the boat with us. The lunch was delicious and our tour guide, Hans was very good. Overall we were extremely disappointed in the vehicle and the fact that we could not go snorkeling.

Lots of delays - We had to wait 30 mins for our tour to start when told 10. We had 6 ppl but only 1 jeep so had to get a 2nd jeep through our tour and also had to ask for the water and beer when they got 2nd jeep. Had no idea we would have to drive one of the jeeps in a foreign country. Also the one stop I was most excited about was a total let down. Jade Cenote had a ton of bats- be warned. Paco was amazing tour guide and he felt bad for the situations he had no control over. I would ask for Paco if you choose to book.
