Excellent service and highly trained staff - We went on the catamaran to Cielo y cielito, it was a tour that included the Jimny, I went with a friend who didn't know how to swim and the truth is Luis was a great guide, he made her feel safe, he knew how to calm us down and he helped us a lot, he supported us with some Incredible photos and videos, the rest of the crew is also very nice and friendly, Edgar, Daniel, all of them, I will definitely return exclusively to. Book the tour with them to make better use of your time on the catamaran tour.

Overcrowded. Uncomfortable - The attention of the guides and the drink service were good. The catamaran is very nice but too overcrowded. There were 78 people!! When we were all inside sitting there was no space, it was cramped and uncomfortable. The truth is I should have known better about how many people were going. The buffet was average. The photo service only liked 3, and they still wanted to sell them to me for 1000 pesos when the rest of the photos were not worth it. :/

Pass on Playa Mia snorkle Beach tour - Had to walk 1/2 mile to another pier..they said it was 3 blocks. Left 50 minutes after 10:30 show time. Crew did not create a fun atmosphere....just standard stuff. Cheap equipment. Got bad sunburn since they don't allow sunscreen. Not much to see on snorkeling other than stingrays and a few starfish and jellyfish. Hawaii 100 times better. Spent way too much time in shallow sand area. Had no time left to experience resort beach after quick, marginal buffet lunch. Took supplied cab back rather than catamaran to pier from Playa Mia Beack Resort.

If you have the option of taking another tour, take this one, it's not worth it - The tour is too slow, you only have about 10 minutes at each point of the activities, the captain is in such a hurry to take you to another point that you don't enjoy anything, leaving about 2 and a half hours at the beach club where you could better enjoy more time in cielito or cielo where each spot was only 10mn maximum I tried to fly my drone, they didn't let me in the sky, they justify it with the fact that it is an internal law on their boats, it cannot be done, and I have gone with other boats and I have been able to do it without a problem. It is the first boat that has told me this.

Disappointing and Overcrowded Snorkel Trip at El Cielo and Colombia Reef - We recently went on a snorkeling trip to El Cielo and Colombia Reef with Playa Mia and was left thoroughly disappointed. Here's a summary of the issues we faced: Excessive Overcrowding: The group was unexpectedly large, about 50 people, which severely impacted the quality of the experience. It felt more like a crowded beach than an exclusive snorkel trip. Misinformation About Age Policy: We were told by Gustavo, one of their managers, children under 8 couldn't snorkel due to a government law. However, there's no evidence of such a law. This misinformation was frustrating and misleading. Inconsistency in Rules: Initially, Eddy, their receptionist, agreed to let our kids snorkel. Yet, when the time came, the crew, citing the large group size, reneged on this agreement. This lack of consistency and clear communication was disheartening. Refund Issues: We were promised a refund after deciding to disembark due to these issues. Sadly, we haven't received any refund yet, adding to the disappointment. Safety and Chaos: A friend's experience highlighted safety concerns due to overcrowding. With so many people trying to return to the boat, it gets chaotic. There was an incident where a child was accidentally kicked in the head, which is alarming. Overpriced for the Experience: Considering the same price can fetch a private tour with a local operator, this trip felt overpriced. A private tour seems like a far better option for a more enjoyable and safer experience.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Playa Mia staff organices snorkel tours with UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF. I decided to join the snorkeling tour at the CATAMARAN with my little sister who was experiencing her first snorkel experience. Before jumping in to the water the staff explains you everything you need to know and they give you a full trust that if anything bad happens they will be there to help. Also, they specifically say that if you want to come back to the boat you CAN’T COME BACK alone, you need to inform the lifeguard so he can call the boat and make it be closer to you. Turns out that at the time of being swimming at an OPEN SEA with STRONG TIDES AND WAVES my sister didn’t feel secure enough and wanted to go back to the boat. I took her with me and we swam to reach this guy called RICARDO who was the lifeguard. When I told him that my sister was FEELING ANXIOUS and that SHE COULDN’T BREATH PROPERLY he answers me: “Boat is too far, YOU CANT COME BACK you need to wait” which I respond that either he needs to call the boat asap so it could come closer or that he needs to come with us back to the boat. RICARDO REFUSED TO HELP US and when I was asking him help, he just went inside the water and kept swimming, letting us UNATTENDED! My husband saw us moving our arms asking for help so he took us and start swimming across the open sea RISKING HIS LIFE and taking us back to the boat. THIS WAS A HIGH RISK EXPERIENCE and we as tourists shouldn’t be risking our lives because of NOT ENTITLED STAFF. I hope the agency can act against Ricardo and he STOPS WORKING with in this area. I trusted the company to have an amazing snorkel experience but it ended to be a NIGHTMARE.
