Aruba Experience - Our Tour guide and most parts of this tour were excellent, however, both our party and the Tour Guide, were disappointed in the Mayan Experience aspect. There was no explanation of the Mayan Dance and culture associated with it. We were left wondering what it was all about. The person who was meant to explain all of this just disappeared . Rest of it was better managed. Our guide said that he was also going to put in a complaint about how this was handled. The rest of our Island Tour was exceptional.

Definitely worth doing! - Hugo was fantastic, he picked us up from outside our hotel gate and drove us around the island, going only to the places we wanted to go. He was friendly and informative. A great value excursion, highly recommend!!

Worth the trip - This was an amazing experience. The first half of the trip was snorkelling. The main guide was excellent and dove down to show us at hand the different fish. The second half of the trip was where we could paddleboard or kayak, enjoyed by all. The main leader/diver was engaging and friendly and knowledgeable. The team as a whole were very nice

Overall pleasant experience with a few hiccups - Great communication! Our ship docked at a different location than originally planned and Alejandra responded immediately and had the driver pick us up at our location. Our driver, Gizmo, arrived after about 20 minutes. We had to climb over seats to sit in the back of the SUV which we shared with another couple. Gizmo, our driver, was friendly, eager to please and made easy conversation while driving through Cozumel to the first location but didn't talk about any history or culture. We expected to walk in the main area of Cozumel to see shops and historic buildings (as in the tour description) but we didn't stop at all. We then expected the Mayan otoch park (as in the tour description) but it was a thatched roof open area with 3 small areas of folding chairs, completely unlike the pictures. A drummer and dancer in Mayan costume performed a very elementary dance in front of a crudely painted picture of the ruins for 3 minutes before asking for a tip. The informative tequila tastings were interesting and delicious. We then moved to the third area for tiny tastes of different flavors of local honey and chocolate which were also delicious but, again, heard little about its cultural significance. We learned nothing of customs, religion and tradition of the Mayan culture. We were never offered the real Mayan cooking with cochinita pibil and Mayan tamales as in the tour description. We didn't see any food at this location. After this, we got back in the car and drove across the island to a beach which was truly beautiful. After an hour on the beach, we got back in the car and drove to a tiny bedraggled roadside shopping area where the merchandise was very over priced. Haggling made costs more reasonable. Then Gizmo asked us what we wanted to do. By this time we were hungry so we asked to find some good local cuisine. He drove us to a small roadside kitchen with shaded tables alongside the beach where we got very tasty tacos, chips and guac and beer and enjoyed the ocean breezes while chatting with the other couple. That was a lovely spot. We stayed there for another hour until Gizmo drove us back to the port. This would have been an easy 5 star review if we had received everything the description offered. Instead, we left knowing little more about Cozumel and the Mayan culture than we did when we arrived, despite our delightful driver, Gizmo. Reading other reviews, it seems that perhaps different drivers offer different experiences. That said, we'd consider doing this tour again but would confirm with the tour company a more accurate itinerary.

Not what I expected - We were picked up 20 mins late from our resort In his personal mini van. The other couple was picked up a hour late since they were supposed to get picked up first. . Not a lot of explaining going on. I feel like it was just a drop off at different beaches to take a picture and tourist shop. The tequila, taco, honey, chocolate tasting is extra. Costs $17 a person. There is no free lunch. You get dropped off at a resort and have to pay for that as well. Also, We were never offered water.
