Some Hunting Was Involved - The car was fine. I didn’t think we would ever find it though when we got off the ferry. The information on the meeting place was not where we met. We had to ask for help and finally make a phone call to locate our car. When we asked where we were to leave the car that afternoon, we were first told to leave it where we found it (in an illegal parking spot) and leave the keys on the seat. Not crazy about that idea. Then we were told someone would meet us at the ferry in the afternoon. This did not happen. We ended up at a construction site where we handed the keys off to a nice guy who obviously did not work for a car rental company. We photographed the car and walked back to the ferry. But we really liked the car!

Thieves. Avoid them. - They Tey to charge for deposit and never return I. I ended with two days rental charged $900USD for two days rentals. But likely the bank called and asked if authorize this payment after I already returned the car, of I did not authorise this payment.

Shady pharmacy practices in Cozumel Mexico - There are many pharmacies in Cozumel Mexico but it seems that some are with shady practices and I happened to have a bad experience with one. Purchased sunscreen and not doing well the math with the currency exchange the first day I realized that it was very overpriced and wanted to return it before leaving the premises of the pharmacy. They refused and the employee wouldn’t even give me a contact with her boss or the company. The other item I purchased was ear plugs which didn’t work at all and I went next day to tell them. Left my email for the boss but never was contacted. I was not able to find them on internet and few that looked with similar logos claimed that they are other company and have nothing to do with this one. I entered in few with exactly same signs outside but the employees had no idea where I can contact their superiors and who owns them!!!……It seems they are like street vendors hiding to avoid any liability for their products. They just want to make the sale and don’t care about reputation because they know tourists are not locals to share bad experiences. This is why I decided to make a post with the pictures and the address so others are careful if they go there. The pharmacy is located very close to the cruise terminal, the closest to Blue Angel resort. I hope the pictures help.
