Fun Times Ahead! - Guides were great! Food was great! Excursion was very fun! We never felt rushed and made it back to the cruise ship in well enough time.

Best Excursion in Cozumel - This was one of the best excursions we have ever done. We started off with snorkeling which was a blast and they were super helpful as we had a first time person (8 y/o) snorkeling. Then, we went with our amazing tour guide, Alexander (Alex), to start the ATV portion of the excursion. Alex was so friendly and spoke to us about the culture of Cozumel which we enjoyed. We went to the Cenote and all jumped in and he was able to capture some amazing videos for us. Then, we did a tequila tasting and Alex even offered to stay a bit longer there so we could do the chocolate tasting as well. Then, we went back to the beach club and enjoyed lunch and drinks. Definitely book this if you are in Cozumel and request Alex as he will make sure you are comfortable and have a great time.

Amazing experience - David was wonderful! He showed us around, was super friendly, patient, overall, the experience was amazing. The food at the bar afterwards was amazing, especially the octopus meal. The waiters at the bar were wonderful too. Highly recommend coming here.

Awesome - Really had a great time. The Cinote was very interesting and refreshing. Loved the whole ride. Would definitely do it again on the next trip.

Snorkel - Yes! ATV - No! - Would highly suggest the snorkeling but avoid the ATV ride. We just returned from a quick 4 night stay in Cozumel. We chose this excursion based on reviews so I thought I would come give a review to help others.
We booked or tour for 11 AM. We thought we were going ATVing first and snorkeling second but when we arrived the man who greeted us said that we would be snorkeling first, which was fine but we were told to go lounge on the beach and that someone would get us when it was time. This did not happen. At about 11 we went seeking out our tour and no one seemed to know what was going on. After a few minutes someone finally came and directed us to our boat. Once we got going on the boat all was great our guides were wonderful and we had a lot of fun. Would highly recommend them for snorkeling.
Things upon our return were once again disorganized. Lunch was included in our package and we inquired if we eat first or go on the ATVs. They told us that the ATVs would only take an hour and we decided to wait to eat when we returned. What a mistake.
First, you do not leave from Tortugus on ATVs, they take you to a secondary location about 15/20 mins away. Due to our party size, 5 in our group and 2 other people in a second group, they needed to take us in separate vehicles. Oh and they had my husband drive one of these vehicles. Once we got to the secondary property and on ATVs we had a good time. That is until after the ride and it was time to go back to the beach club. We are now an hour and 20 minutes into our “one hour” ride and we are starving. But instead of taking us back our guide took us next door to sit through a tequila tasting. When we asked about going back he said we would after a brief presentation. Mind you this presentation was NOT part of the excursion we booked. This presentation was a high pressure sales pitch that we found out after the excursion is a huge scam. It was at this time that they finally drove us back to the beach club and we finally ate. 2 1/2 hours after we first left there.
The meal included was fajitas and they were yummy.
Overall the snorkeling was great and if I were in the area again I would recommend them for this activity. I would not recommend them for ATVing. There are other companies that seemed more professional on the trail and I’d look into one of them. I may have felt differently if it weren’t for the sales pitch, that really left a sour taste in our mouth and we felt like we had to choice as were were miles away from Where we started. I hope this helps someone.

Fun Excursions but very poorly operated - Things I liked:
- the length of the ATV tour (not too long, not too short)
- the tequila tasting: fun and knowledgeable presentation and I feel that the amount of tastings we got to do was generous
- size of the restaurant and beach club
Things I did not like:
- poor communication: lots of confusion on where to go when we got off the ship. We were told by the staff at the tortugas booth to wait in a specific area and that someone was coming to pick us up. We were there for over half an hour and nobody came only for the booth staff to tell us just to take a cab instead. Then when we did arrive at the beach club we had to wait another 20 min for our guide to get there.
- Long wait times: kinda ties with the lack of communication but we had to wait over 30min for a ride to the beach club, 20 minutes for our guide and then almost an hour for our snorkel boat
- food/drink quality: our package came with lunch and an hour of open bar. The drinks were weak and left much to be desired. The food was just basic fajitas with rice and beans, my chicken was poorly cooked and overall the lunch left much to be desired.

Great activities / poor organization. - This is a review of the ATV/Snorkel Package at Tortugas.
TL:DR The experiences were great, but the staff and communication were highly unorganized.
To begin, we paid an online deposit months in advance, but they would not let us pay the remainder of the bill before arriving in Cozumel. They said that we must bring 78 dollars in cash to pay in person. The other couple in our group who What are you doing? booked a separate reservation, they never got their email confirmation and it took weeks of messaging them to get it straightened out.
Upon arriving at the port of Cozumel, we saw a Tortuga’s kiosk and they told us that a shuttle will be coming for us in 30 minutes. So we waited for 30 minutes in the heat and nobody ever came. So we went back to the kiosk and they told us that we needed to take a taxi now, which was stressful because our tour was going to start very soon. When we got to the official Tortuga’s location, we waited around for another 30 minutes for our tour guide to show up, We’re not sure whose fault this was. Our guide was Diego. He was great for the ATV and tequila tasting segments. If photographer took about 50 photos of us on the ATVs, but it was discovered after we bought the photos that 80% of them were blurry.
We were taken back to Tortugas for lunch, which was nothing special. Then we waited for our boat to pick us up for snorkeling but no one ever came. So we had to go find staff to talk to. No one knew what was going on or who is in charge. We wait some more, but nothing happened. So we went and talked to as many staff as we could to try and get answers and about an hour after we finish lunch we were finally snorkeling. The guides who took us were nice and we saw a handful of interesting fish.
If you decided to book with them I’d recommend only doing one activity and not a package deal like we did.

Not good. - The marketing is misleading - stated 4 hrs - we had the snorkel/atv tour - the snorkeling was first (9am), lasted ~35 minutes. Back to dock and snorkel guide stated ATV would begin at 10:30 am - It was actually 11am. The ATV team were having issues with their vehicles to transport over to the ATV so late heading out - once we arrived at ATV site, the ride was hardly what we expected. This is NOT a jungle tour - it was a dusty dirt road with many pot holes. The Cinote was cool; however, it was a bat haven - bat feces around, smelled awful and guides warned do not get into the water (but yes, we did see three ladies in the water - I imagine they were very ill the next day). Total time - nearly 3 hours - if you want snorkelng take a "snorkel only" tour - forget the ATV - not a jungle.

Fun —but pushed hard for big tips! - Our group of 8 did the ATV / Snorkeling excursion. We dropped over $1,000 into it and then later had the ATV guide hold us hostage at a remote location asking for 20% tip. Then he followed my friends around at the resort guilting them to the ATM for more $. I’m not joking. Wish I was.
The snorkeling was on a smallish boat with a friendly guide. 25 -30 mins was plenty of time and they had the gear for us. The ATV part had a different guide and half of my group drove an old van to get to the spot. Old trashy ATVs with smelly helmets. There’s a nice stop where you can jump into stinky water. 3 of our people did it and got some great video. :-)
Tequila tasting before lunch. They will try selling you organic tequila. My group bought 3 bottles. Lunch involved well drinks & draft beer for an hour. Food was excellent and the manager fed us sweet tasting shots from a bottle. Super fun.
We’d do it again but we’d make sure to tell the ATV guide HOW AND IF WE TIP—not the other way around.

Fraud in Cozumel - Do not shop in Cozumel - maybe at the areas in the shopping centres or a place promoted by your cruise ship but be very wary. As below, we were approached by a guy who said he knew us from the ship and to come into his family store. I bought a necklace that I was charged for and then was charged another $614 CAD for nothing. TD band says there is nothing they can do because I was in the store and authorized the purchase. On my credit card, the store is called Merpago Monzanita or Merpago Maya. It was close to the main area of the main street about three stores up an alley. Very clean and white with air conditioning. I am sorry for all the legit vendors out there but I will never buy on credit card again while in port.
