Beautiful - Friendly drivers, beautiful grounds and buildings, short but nice tour. Tasting room has a great view. Loved the cellar where the wine ages.

Excellent wine experience - The setting and the wine, especially the Malbec were excellent. The sommelier who did the tour was very passionate and knowlegeable about her work. Leo was a great driver with an interesting life and he dropped us at our hotel. Comparable to our similar tours in Napa and Sonoma but more personal and informative.

Two Love Birds drinking wine - This facility is really great. I was in San Miguel with my wife celebrating our anniversary and we were looking for outdoor activities. This didn't disappoint. The wine is exquisite and the grounds are beautiful. Our tour guide gave us a thorough tour and explained the process to a T. We finished on the top floor of the winery that has an observation deck with a full charcuterie board at sunset. It was great. The shop is affordable and very nicely designed.

Beautiful property and wines - Our sommelier was Stephanie who also guided our tour. She was outstanding and we thought the wines were very good. The property is exceptionally beautiful. We had our tasting in the 360 degree wine room which has a magnificent view of the winery.

Good but need to request everything on your own… - Driver was so pleasant and we waited for us to finish our taste and some extra drinks. Ashanti from the vineyard was really good with the explanation, but during the tasting suddenly disappeared to new customers when I think we haven’t even finished, I felt little bit obliterated… = But wine is great! :)

Guide No Show - When we arrived at the gate, they didn’t know we were coming and we waited 15 min before they finally allowed the gate to open. We then waited for the guide for an hour and he never showed. A wonderful young lady who was the winemaker then took us on a tour and did the wine tasting. She was superb. We were unable to buy any of the wines as the store was closed. Would have given only one star except for the other wonderful people. The wine was superb.

Traveler Beware: This is not what was described. - We booked this tour with the understanding that it would be a 3 and a half hour tour. For starters, they didn’t offer to pick us up at our hotel, which was weird, but we knew that since that was in the description of the tour. We were picked up by one of the winery staff and taken to Lavista. It is a wedding venue, with a little church, a vineyard and a restaurant. The actual tour took only 45 minutes. We started with a tour of the vineyard and the church. Unfortunately the church was locked and our guide made no attempt to unlock it. We then went in to see the rest of the production process and do the tasting. This is a very young vineyard and the wines were just okay. I am personally fine with not liking the wines when doing a tasting as for me it’s about the experience. At the end of the tour, we needed to use the restroom and both the male and female bathrooms were out of toilet paper, soap and paper towels. When we asked the staff for some, we were told that they were aware, but that the owners had not purchased any. This was a little discerning given that we had just eaten a cheeseboard at a place where there was no soap to wash your hands. At this point, we made the comment that if you’re going to charge $100 per person for a 45 minute tour, the least you could do was provide the basics in a bathroom. That is when we found out that the cost of the tour is actually $43. The tour guide mentioned that they offer the tours at that price with pick up directly from your hotel. We felt like we were totally scammed by this tour operator, not the vineyard itself. The vineyard was really pretty, the staff was nice and it is definitely worth a stop, but book directly through them.
