Great Chocolate Tour! - My family had a great tour with Elisa! We enjoyed chocolate in many forms--MX hot chocolate, truffles, mole, etc.--while learning about the history of chocolate and San Miguel. Elisa was a delightful guide--we highly recommend her Chocolate and Cobblestones tour!

A must-do tour if you love chocolate and want to learn about SMA - What a wonderful tour! Honestly a highlight of our trip. We love chocolate (every stop was delicious) and we loved learning about its history in Mexico. But the best part was our guide, Elisa! She paced the tour in a very relaxed way and was so interesting and open to sharing about her life growing up in San Miguel de Allende. We learned more about the town and the history just by hanging out with Elisa on this tour. She is the best. Thank you!!

Food for thought as well as the soul - outstanding. - Hands down, Sam was one of the premiere highlights of our trip. His knowledge was expansive and deep. Given his culinary background, he was able to contextualize the importance of chocolate both historically and socially - no easy feat! He was extraordinarily personable and unafraid of going down rabbit holes with us (me). I would not hesitate to engage Sam to explore even more of SMA's culinary nooks and crannies. This was time well-spent.

Delicious & informative! - My mom and I took this trip together. Our guide Elisa Torres was wonderful! In addition to tasting delicious chocolate in a variety of forms at several different restaurants, Elisa also gave us a fascinating history of chocolate and the important role Mexico has played in chocolate becoming a global phenomenon! We ended the tour with yummy enmoladas, so the food went beyond desserts.

A Chocolate adventure - Elise met me on time and was a lovely young woman with lots of information on the history of chocolate from the time of the Maya through the transfer to Spain , Europe and eventually the United States. She told the story of chocolate and infused it with with humanity. As we traversed the various restaurants each with its own specialty: from hot chocolate to truffles to chocolate brioche to chocolate mole. I enjoyed the tour and would recommend it to any chocoholic.
