Need more time - As amazingly beautiful as San Miguel is, Santiago de Querétaro has so MANY beautiful places! Querétaro is such a big city and especially prominent is the art; displayed by way of sculptures, murals, museums, and more. Expect to spend more money in San Miguel- the artisans & street vendors are some of the best in Central Mexico; however, I would definitely allow more time when visiting Querétaro. A vast landscape of cobblestone streets, bold colors and of course, all the things I love about big cities like the restaurants, musuems & beautiful Spanish Colonial churches... QTO has the most incredible architectural feats such as the Aqueduct... everytime I get lost I find a new neighborhood with markets, sculptures, fountains, public art...I find unique traits at each turn that are just as beautiful as the last. *music* I would note that I have spent the month living by the university, though I'm a tad old for the clubs, I walk past quite a few bars & clubs ranging from Hip Hop & Electronic music. The night scene in Querétaro is broad and easily accessible. San Miguel does not cater to younger people as much & everything is quiet by 10pm.
